Wendy Williams is set for a comeback, but it won't be in the realm of reality television. Although she was recently seen filming an undisclosed project in New York City, her representative, Shawn Zanotti, has confirmed to Page Six that it's "definitely not a reality show."

Zanotti explained on Friday, "After taking a long break, Wendy feels some of the best days of her life were in media. She has been in media since her early 20s and wants to return to what she loves." He added, "Getting back to what she loves is something that is important to her. Yes, Wendy is filming...Yes, she is gearing up for something, and the specifics of that can't be disclosed as of yet."

Zanotti had previously informed Page Six that the 58-year-old has been working on "several projects" since her departure from "The Wendy Williams Show" last year due to health issues. While Zanotti didn't reveal much, he did provide an update on Williams' forthcoming podcast, which is reportedly still "in the works."

This clarification comes less than two months after the former daytime talk show host was spotted at a restaurant accompanied by a nearly 30-person camera crew.

An eyewitness told Page Six, "She had a huge crew that basically turned Fresco by Scotto into a movie set. Approximately 30 people in the crew. Lights, cameras, audio, producers, etc. [It] looked like a reality show." The source added, "One of the 'scenes' was Wendy having dinner with a friend. Wendy came into the dining room with her big personality, waving at all the guests like they were extras in her movie."

Williams herself recently informed a photographer that she is "formerly retired" and eagerly anticipating the relaunch of her career.

The TV personality, who has openly struggled with alcoholism, reentered a treatment facility in September 2022 after a falling out with production company Debmar-Mercury.

With her rehabilitation complete, Williams is reportedly concentrating "on her overall wellness" and is prepared to resume working.
