A recent episode of "GB News" has reignited discussions about Prince Harry's personal and legal predicaments and his wife Meghan Markle's role in his life. The talk show's host, Dan Wootton, invited Angela Levin, the biographer of Prince Harry, for an in-depth discussion.
With Prince Harry set to appear in two high-profile court cases - one in the UK and the other in the US - next week, Wootton commented that the Duke of Sussex is the first royal to testify in court since the 1800s. However, amid these unfolding events, Markle's silence has been conspicuous. Wootton probed Levin about the possibility of the UK embracing Prince Harry again if he were deported or his marriage to Markle failed.
Levin responded candidly to Wootton's query, stating, "I perceive his aspirations to be crumbling. I believe they're verging on nightmares as he seems uncertain about his identity or his role. The impression I receive is that Meghan isn't supporting him in a manner one would expect if deep affection were present."
The author of "Harry: A Biography of a Prince," Levin provided further insights into Prince Harry's current plight, predicting a challenging journey for the Duke. She expressed sympathy for his situation while criticizing his recent actions.
"It's going to be extremely arduous for him. Even though his actions have irritated me and I find it hard to relate to his current persona, I empathize with someone who seems lost and unsure of how to navigate his problems," she elaborated.
Levin further commented, "He's surrounded by a vortex of negativity, and everywhere he looks, it's an endless cycle of things going awry, retribution, and futile attempts to alter the press landscape as a lone crusader. Meghan doesn't appear to be making an effort to assist him in this situation."
However, it's important to note that the Business Times has not been able to corroborate these claims independently.
Meanwhile, rumors have been swirling around the state of Prince Harry and Meghan's marriage. A noticeable silence marked their fifth wedding anniversary, which raised eyebrows among royal observers. Bronte Coy, a royal and entertainment reporter at News.com.au, called the Sussexes' quiet anniversary "quite unusual" during a discussion on Sky News Australia's "The Royal Report."
Adding fuel to the fire, royal commentator Kara Kennedy, writing for The Spectator, observed that speculation about the Sussexes' troubled marriage began when Meghan was conspicuously absent during Prince Harry's promotional events for his memoir, "Spare," in January. Kennedy noted, "January was when everyone started observing that they seemed to be leading separate lives."
Levin's additional comments further stirred the rumor mill, as she indicated that Meghan "is distinctly distancing" herself from Prince Harry, pointing out that she "hasn't been present when he truly needed her."
