Predictions of uncertainty have surrounded Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's marriage, with conjectures suggesting the couple may last only another two years, according to insights from royal observer, Lady Victoria Hervey.
The British model and socialite offered her perspective during a conversation with Mark Dolan on "GB News." The discussion broached the strain on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's union, intensified by recent developments including the loss of their $20 million Spotify deal, dwindling popularity, and swirling separation rumors.
Lady Victoria shared her unexpected surprise at the couple's ongoing relationship, estimating it might endure for, "maybe two more years." When Dolan probed further about her prediction, the "Lady in Waiting" author emphasized it was simply speculation, stating, "I don't know, that is just a guess."
She elaborated on her projection, contemplating their future post-Netflix contract. "I don't think they're gonna know what to do. They would have burnt so many bridges with family, with Hollywood, with anyone in the entertainment business, I don't know where can you go from that. You know, where else can they go."
Dolan suggested Lady Victoria's insider knowledge in American and Hollywood circles lent credence to her views. However, Business Times was unable to independently confirm the claims.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry's biographer Angela Levin also shared her perspective, hinting at an imminent separation for the Sussex couple. "I think that the marriage is very nearly finished, and it will be," said the author of "Harry: A Biography of a Prince" on the "Paul Murray Live" podcast. She expressed doubts about Markle's supportive presence, particularly when Harry needed it the most.
Adding to the precarious state of their affairs, Lady Victoria highlighted the potential consequences of Prince Harry's financial strategies. She questioned, "he's making all his money from selling out his family, and so it's going to get to a point where the family is just not going to want to talk to him again and when that happens, like what does he do?"
The conversation also touched on Prince Harry's recent loss of Frogmore Cottage, leaving him without a residence in his homeland. This was confirmed by Sir Michael Stevens, the keeper of the Privy Purse, at the annual Sovereign Grant account briefing on royal finances.
In another episode of "GB News," Tom Bower, British journalist and royal biographer, commented on the couple's uncertain future. He suggested that the Sussexes are encountering difficulties in reestablishing their formerly compelling image, adding that they are "looking for a cause."
