The legal drama series "Suits" has seen a resurgence in popularity four years after its conclusion, sparking speculation about a potential revival or spinoff. The show recently set a Nielsen streaming record for the most-watched series in a week, after it was made available on Netflix and Peacock. The series was viewed for a combined 3.1 billion minutes in the week of June 29, securing the top spot on the Top Ten list.

Gene Klein, the show's executive producer for all nine seasons, expressed surprise at the recent surge in viewership. He stated that while he anticipated a boost in viewing when the show was added to Netflix, he did not foresee the extent of the renewed interest. Klein mentioned that he has broached the topic of a revival with showrunner Aaron Kosh, but admitted that he is not aware of any serious discussions about it.

The possibility of reuniting the original cast for a revival or spinoff has also been discussed. Klein acknowledged the challenges associated with keeping everyone involved and finalizing deals with all the actors. He expressed doubt about the feasibility of a reunion, but said he would be delighted if it happened, given the strong friendships formed over the course of the show's run.

However, the return of one particular cast member, Meghan Markle, who played lawyer Rachel Zane for seven seasons, seems unlikely. Markle left the show prior to her marriage to Prince Harry in May 2018, and her character was subsequently written out of the storyline. Since leaving her acting career and royal life behind, Markle has focused on public service with Prince Harry through their non-profit organization, the Archewell Foundation. She has also released several Netflix docuseries and hosted her own podcast on Spotify.

While fans of "Suits" may be hopeful for a revival, the reality of such a project, particularly with the original cast, remains uncertain. For now, viewers can continue to enjoy all nine seasons of the show on Peacock.
