In the vibrant world of K-Pop, female artists have been making significant waves, captivating audiences with their performances. A recent report by South Korean media outlet Koreaboo has shed light on the top 10 most-watched female K-Pop acts in South Korea from mid-2022 to mid-2023, revealing some of the industry's biggest names.

IU, whose real name is Lee Ji-eun, clinched the top spot. Recognized as one of the most successful musicians in the industry, her concert "The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun" held at Seoul's Olympic Stadium in September last year sold an impressive 87,578 seats over two days. This achievement underscores her immense popularity and the deep connection she shares with her fans.

Following IU, the globally renowned group BLACKPINK secured the second position. Their "Born Pink" world tour stop at the KSPO Dome in Seoul in October 2022 saw a sale of 20,060 seats. The group has recently announced the wrap-up of its second world tour with a two-night show titled "Finale" scheduled for September 16 and 17. With contract renewal discussions between BLACKPINK and their label, YG Entertainment, still under wraps, fans, fondly known as BLINKS, are eagerly awaiting the performances, hoping it won't be their last.

Girls Generation's leader, Taeyeon, also made a mark on the list. Since her solo debut in 2015, she has been a force to reckon with in the K-Pop industry. Her "The Odd Of Love" tour kick-off show in June attracted 17,843 attendees. Taeyeon's success as a solo artist is evident as she recently embarked on an Asia tour, visiting countries including Japan, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, and Singapore.

TWICE, another major player in the K-Pop scene, ranked fourth on the list. Before embarking on their fifth world tour, "Ready To Be," they drew a crowd of 13,792 fans, known as ONCE, for a live performance at the KSPO Dome last April.

Red Velvet, an SM Entertainment artist, also joined the ranks of the most-watched female K-Pop groups. Their "R to V" concert stop in Seoul saw a sale of about 11,562 seats over two days.

The top 10 list was rounded off by other notable artists such as South Korean indie singer Baek Yerin, LE SSERAFIM, MAMAMOO, (G)I-DLE, and the popular ballad singer Younha.

The resurgence of live concerts in South Korea post the COVID-19 pandemic has been a testament to the undying spirit of K-Pop and its fans. As artists continue to engage with their audiences, the future of K-Pop looks brighter than ever.
