Meghan Markle's recent solo public appearances have ignited speculation about her potential return to Hollywood. The Duchess of Sussex, who once graced the screen as Rachel Zane in the hit legal series "Suits," has been stepping out independently while her husband, Prince Harry, has been away on charitable endeavors in Japan and Singapore.

Mark Boardman, the founder of the showbiz and lifestyle website MarkMeets, has observed Meghan's solo ventures with keen interest. He pointed out that while Prince Harry was raising awareness and funds for his Sentebale charity abroad, Meghan was spotted in various locations, from hanging out with friends to reportedly attending a Taylor Swift concert in Los Angeles. The Duchess was also seen at a farmer's market in Montecito. The couple's last joint public appearance was in early August during a dinner at Tre Lune. Their most recent public engagement together was in May, attending the Women of Vision Awards in New York, accompanied by Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland.

Boardman believes that Meghan is not one to be content as merely Prince Harry's "plus one." He perceives her as someone driven by a realistic ambition for personal success. "Meghan's character traits are rarely seen from the public eye, but we see glimpses of her private life and her dedication to friends, family, and charitable causes," Boardman told Newsweek. He highlighted her "Archetypes" Spotify podcast, which aired last year, as a stepping stone to more significant endeavors. Boardman feels that the podcast's conclusion opens the door for Meghan to embark on a new chapter, one that aligns with her long-term plans, which remain closely guarded within her inner circle.

The entertainment expert further suggested that Meghan's solo public appearances could be a hint at her longing for the freedom she once enjoyed as an actress. He finds it "noteworthy that Meghan thrives in the company of people and has been present at numerous events of late without Harry by her side."

While the couple is expected to appear together at the closing ceremony of the 2023 Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, Germany, Boardman opines that Meghan's aspirations are deeply rooted in her identity as an accomplished actress, rather than just being a "plus one."

It's worth noting that Meghan Markle starred in "Suits" for 100 episodes before her royal wedding to Prince Harry on May 19, 2018. The couple stepped back from their royal duties in 2020 and established their non-profit organization, Archewell Foundation, and its supporting entities, Archewell Productions and Archewell Audio. However, in a 2022 interview with Variety, the Duchess stated that she was "done" with acting.

Only time will tell if Meghan Markle's recent solo outings are indicative of a potential return to Hollywood or if they are merely a reflection of her independent spirit.
