In the wake of the Sussexes' tumultuous exit from royal life and the subsequent release of Prince Harry's controversial memoir, "Spare," the Duke of Sussex is reportedly keen on mending ties with his father, King Charles. However, insiders suggest that any reconciliation efforts will hinge on the support of his wife, Meghan Markle.

The relationship between Prince Harry and King Charles has been under significant strain since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's departure from the UK and their subsequent revelations in interviews and writings. Harry's memoir, in particular, has added fuel to the fire, shedding light on the deep-seated issues within the royal family.

Duncan Larcombe, a royal expert, recently weighed in on the situation, noting the Sussexes' low profile in recent months. "Harry's been very quiet and so has Meghan," Larcombe stated. "They've kept their heads down for a number of months and I think possibly now would be a good time for Harry to meet his father and for them to have a grown-up conversation, where some tensions and rawness of 'Spare' and everything else has perhaps died down."

Larcombe further speculated on the crucial role Meghan might play in any potential peace talks. "I would imagine Harry would want Meghan to be at the meeting. If Harry can patch things up with his family, then ultimately, Meghan might be brought in from the cold as well," he opined. He emphasized that the royal family has not completely shut out the possibility of reconciliation, suggesting there's still hope for a resolution.

However, scheduling conflicts might pose a challenge. An anonymous source revealed that while Prince Harry is expected to be in England for the Invictus Games in September, King Charles has prior commitments, including an official visit to France. Efforts are reportedly underway to fine-tune the details to facilitate a possible meeting between father and son.

While there's optimism about Harry and Charles potentially bridging their differences, the rift between Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William, seems more profound. Friends of Prince William have expressed his sense of betrayal, especially in light of the revelations in "Spare." One confidant shared, "He feels utterly betrayed by what Harry wrote about him in the book [Spare] and said about him on Netflix. They were very close growing up so it has been very painful for William."

The road to reconciliation is fraught with challenges, and while Prince Harry appears willing to extend an olive branch, the support and presence of Meghan Markle might be the key to unlocking the doors to peace within the royal family.
