BTS's Jin has made headlines globally, standing shoulder to shoulder with legendary artists as the only Asian solo artist.

Jin's debut solo single "The Astronaut" was recently included in the official playlist of Amazon's AWS Sales Kickoff 23 (Amazon Web Services Sales Kickoff 23), among 98 songs. Alongside timeless legends like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen, AC/DC, U2, Oasis, Coldplay, David Bowie, and BTS, Jin shines as the sole Asian soloist, solidifying his position as a top global solo artist.

The inclusion of "The Astronaut" in the all-time top 98 songs was announced when Amazon Music released the playlist.

Amazon is the world's largest e-commerce platform, and AWS is the number one public cloud service globally. Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Services follow in second and third places, respectively.

The AWS SKO is a massive event attended by leading IT partners and related companies worldwide. Songs from the playlist will be played during the main sessions of the IT event, which spans 3 to 4 nights and is attended by tens of thousands of people globally. It's rare for a recently released solo track to be selected for such a significant event, drawing even more attention to Jin's exceptional musicality.

Released on October 28th last year, "The Astronaut" achieved over 232 million streams on Spotify by September 7th, proving its immense popularity. The song set new records on Spotify, reaching 50 million streams in 22 days, 60 million in 29 days, 70 million in 37 days, 90 million in 57 days, and 100 million in 72 days, setting the fastest record for a Korean male K-pop solo song. On the day of its release, Jin topped Spotify's "Global Top Artist" and "Japan Top Artist" charts, achieving the highest rank ever for a Korean solo artist.

The music video for "The Astronaut" set a new record on YouTube's "Global Popular Music Video" chart, maintaining the top spot for 17 consecutive days, surpassing Jin's previous record with "Super Tuna" at 16 days.

Jin's debut solo single "The Astronaut" was recognized by the prestigious Rolling Stone magazine, ranking 68th in the "Top 100 Songs of 2022", making Jin the highest-ranked Asian solo artist. Additionally, "The Astronaut" was ranked 14th in Billboard's "The 25 Best K-Pop Songs of 2022: Staff Picks" and 4th in France's Paris Match's "Top 10 K-Pop Songs of 2022". This recognition solidified Jin's position as the top-ranking male solo artist in both Billboard and Paris Match's K-pop song selections.

Furthermore, Jin's self-composed and solo track "Moon", included in BTS's fourth full album "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7", ranked 5th in Rolling Stone's "75 Greatest Boy Band Songs of All Time" in 2020. This recognition showcased Jin's innate talent as an artist, not just in K-pop but across Asia. The Jackson 5's "I Want You Back" took the top spot in the "75 Greatest Boy Band Songs of All Time".

Despite currently serving in the military as an assistant instructor since his enlistment last December, Jin's inclusion in the official playlist of Amazon AWS SKO 23 alongside all-time legendary artists has thrilled fans worldwide.
