In a recent revelation, Princess Charlene of Monaco shared a significant change in her family's dynamic as her twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, returned to school after their summer break. The eight-year-old siblings, who have always shared a classroom, are now attending separate classes for the first time.

Princess Charlene expressed that while the twins are "very excited" to reunite with their friends post-holidays, this academic year marks a new chapter for them. "It's the first time that they won't be in the same class," she noted. The Princess believes this separation is a positive step in their development, stating, "It's a big step for them, and that seems good to me." Like many students on their first day back, the royal twins had a mix of emotions, from excitement about meeting new classmates to deciding their outfits for the day.

The twins are currently enrolled at L'Institution François d'Assise-Nicolas Barré school in Monaco (FANB). However, this isn't the first time they've experienced changes in their educational journey. In 2021, due to Princess Charlene's prolonged recovery from an ear-nose-throat (ENT) infection, the siblings were homeschooled at the Monaco palace. The Princess had been in South Africa for medical treatment and was unable to return for six months due to the infection.

Upon her return to Monaco in November 2021, and subsequently to public life in 2022, her husband, Prince Albert, expressed his admiration for her resilience. "I'm really proud of my wife. Charlene's doing really well," he shared with PEOPLE. He further highlighted her active participation in various events and her renewed passion for causes close to her heart. "She's engaging more in public life and looking after things that she's passionate about," Prince Albert added. He emphasized the joy the family felt, especially with Princess Charlene's involvement with their children, concluding the year on a "very, very high note."

The royal couple has been in the spotlight for various reasons over the years, from their individual philanthropic efforts to addressing rumors about their relationship. However, their recent appearances, including taking their twins to school, have showcased a united front, dispelling any lingering speculations.

As the academic year progresses, the royal twins' new journey in separate classrooms will undoubtedly be a topic of interest for many. It remains to be seen how this change will shape their individual personalities and growth, but with the support of their parents, they are poised for success.
