The future of the globally renowned girl group BLACKPINK is set to be a mix of individual and collective endeavors.

According to multiple music industry insiders on the 21st, BLACKPINK's Rosé has sealed her renewal with YG Entertainment. However, the remaining members - Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa - are reportedly in the final stages of negotiations to transfer to other agencies, with a strategy to dedicate six months of the year to BLACKPINK activities.

This approach mirrors the contract style of Super Junior members Eunhyuk, Donghae, and Kyuhyun, who had previously renewed with SM Entertainment.

Among the members, Jisoo, who is leaning towards an acting career, and Lisa, the Thai member enjoying immense popularity abroad, are rumored to have received astronomical signing amounts for their transfers.

Industry insiders suggest that due to Jisoo's limitless potential as an actress and Lisa's unparalleled popularity in Southeast Asia, especially her home country Thailand, foreign investors have invested heavily in their careers. Both are said to have signed with different domestic agencies.

Following the news that BTS's agency, Big Hit Entertainment, successfully renewed contracts ensuring BTS's activities until 2025, BLACKPINK's similar move indicates that the two leading K-pop groups representing Korea will continue their reign in the industry.

Jennie, during the encore performance of their world tour 'BONPINK' at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro District, Seoul on the 17th, hinted at the group's continued activities, stating, "We will continue to be the amazing BLACKPINK."

Debuting in 2016, BLACKPINK is hailed as the top girl group in K-pop, breaking numerous records.

They hold records such as the highest number of subscribers and views for a global artist on YouTube, the top spot for Spotify followers among global girl groups, the first K-pop girl group to top the U.S. Billboard 200, and headlining the world's largest music festival, Coachella.

Their 'BONPINK' tour attracted 1.8 million fans, second only to BTS's 'Love Yourself' tour, which drew 2.05 million attendees.
