Even after celebrating their 7th debut anniversary this past August 8, BLACKPINK has yet to finalize their contract renewal with YG Entertainment.

Following this, YG Entertainment has not provided a definitive answer regarding the full group's renewal. On September 21, YG Entertainment briefly stated in an official position regarding BLACKPINK's renewal, "Nothing has been confirmed yet; discussions are ongoing."

After celebrating their 7th debut anniversary on August 8, YG Entertainment has been cautious about the renewal status with BLACKPINK.

Business Times previously reported on the same day that YG Entertainment has only re-signed with member Rosé, while Lisa and Jisoo have signed with other agencies. However, they are in discussions to continue BLACKPINK activities for about a year and a half. However, a related party emphasized to Star News that "renewal negotiations with all members are still ongoing," stressing that even the re-signing with Rosé is not confirmed.

BLACKPINK successfully wrapped up their 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] FINALE IN SEOUL' on the 16th and 17th, starting from October 2022, including encore performances in North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East, totaling 64 performances across 34 cities, marking the largest tour in girl group history.

At the end of the concert, Jisoo shared, "It feels like just yesterday we started in Seoul a year ago. I'm grateful we could finish here, healthy and without injuries, thanks to BLINKs (fandom name). Everyone worked hard."

Rosé expressed, "It feels like just the day before yesterday that we went on two world tours. I feel united with BLINKs, flying around for a year. I'm happy."

Lisa said, "I wrote down what I wanted to say to BLINKs on my phone so I wouldn't forget. It's been 2,596 days since we met. This tour was possible because of BLINKs. Without BLINKs, we couldn't have done it. Whether the weather was good or bad, thank you for enjoying it with us. Thank you for lighting up my 20s. I love you."

Jennie remarked, "I want to tell our members they've worked hard. We've had many flights and travels, but the four of us stayed healthy and supported each other. I want to tell the members they've done well. Looking back at the 7 years since our debut, I wanted to show our best and meet more in Korea, so I wanted to finish in Seoul. I'm happy. Thank you to everyone." She added, "The staff also ran with us for a year, and I know they've worked hard. I want to share this honor with them. Thank you to BLINKs for always supporting us. We will continue to be the amazing BLACKPINK.
