In a recent social media clash, Sam Asghari, Britney Spears' estranged husband, took a stand against Donald Trump Jr. over a post that appeared to mock the pop icon. Asghari's defense of Spears highlights the ongoing support he has shown for her, even as their romantic relationship has come to an end.

Donald Trump Jr. shared a meme on Instagram juxtaposing two images of Spears. The first, a polished photo from her early career days, was captioned "America under Trump." The second, a still from a recent video where Spears is seen dancing with knives, was labeled "America under Biden." Trump Jr. simply captioned the post with "Yup."

Reacting to this, Asghari took to his Instagram Story to address Trump Jr. directly, writing, "It's not okay to be a bully @donaldjtrumpjr." This post, though later deleted, was captured and shared by various Spears fan accounts, amplifying Asghari's message.

The video that sparked this controversy featured Spears dancing with what appeared to be real knives, raising concerns about her mental well-being and leading to a wellness check by the police. Spears later clarified in a subsequent post that the knives were merely props rented from a shop in LA. She emphasized that they were not real and that she was inspired by one of her favorite performers, Shakira.

This isn't the first time Spears has been at the center of public concern. Her well-documented conservatorship battle and personal struggles have made headlines over the years. However, Asghari has often been by her side, supporting her through thick and thin.

The couple's relationship began around 2017, and they tied the knot in June 2022. However, just over a year later, in August 2023, Asghari filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences." Despite their split, Asghari's recent defense of Spears against Trump Jr.'s mockery indicates that he continues to stand by her.

In the backdrop of their separation, there have been speculations and rumors. Some sources suggest that Asghari might challenge the couple's prenuptial agreement, while others hint at concerns from Asghari's inner circle about Spears not being the right partner for him.

As for Spears, she has been collaborating on new music and is set to release a memoir titled "The Woman in Me." The book, completed before her split with Asghari, is scheduled for release on October 24.
