In a recent light-hearted radio interview, Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, shared a glimpse into their personal lives, revealing their most-used emojis. The revelation, especially Prince William's choice, has since become the talk of the town.

A Royal Revelation: Emojis and More

During their appearance on the Radio 1 show "Going Home" with hosts Jordan North and Vick Hope, the royal couple was posed with a series of questions sent in by listeners. When quizzed about their favorite emojis, Prince William's response was both surprising and humorous. He initially hinted at the aubergine (known as the eggplant emoji in the U.S.) as his top pick. "Is this a clean thing or is this a family one?" he jested, adding, "I've been told not to say the aubergine, so I've got to pick something else." He then settled on describing another emoji, saying it's "the one where the eyes go up and down and the mouth's out. What's that one? The slightly crazy one."

Kate Middleton's choice was more on the wholesome side. She shared that her go-to emojis are the heart and the crying-laughing face, which she uses when "things have gone wrong."

The hosts were clearly entertained by Prince William's initial choice. North exclaimed, "He said the aubergine emoji, this is brilliant!" with Hope chiming in, "He knows. He's got a dirty mind."

Royals and Mental Health Advocacy

Beyond the light-hearted banter, the interview was part of the royal couple's commitment to World Mental Health Day. They were in Birmingham to host a forum in collaboration with the U.K.-based charity, The Mix, and BBC Radio 1. The event aimed to bring young individuals together to discuss and raise awareness about mental well-being.

Prince William emphasized the importance of humor in mental well-being, stating, "Having a laugh. Humor for me is a big deal - I love to laugh. You've got to look at the lighter things in life sometimes to feel good."

Kate Middleton also spoke about the progress in mental health discussions, noting, "Today, more people feel empowered to talk about their mental health than ever before." She praised the younger generation for leading the charge in these conversations, highlighting their bravery and openness.

A Glimpse into the Royal Life

The interview also touched upon other personal aspects of the royal couple's life. When discussing dinner plans, Prince William admitted his low tolerance for spicy food, saying, "I can't do too much spice, I start sweating. It's not attractive." Kate, on the other hand, mentioned her preference for spicier dishes.

The couple also shared their music preferences, with Kate admitting she's veering more towards Radio 2 and Radio 4, while Prince William reminisced about listening to Radio 1 since his younger days.
