BLACKPINK's music video for 'Kill This Love' has surpassed 1.9 billion views on YouTube.

According to YG Entertainment on November 4th, the music video for 'Kill This Love' crossed the 1.9 billion view mark on YouTube around 6:13 AM that day. This remarkable feat, achieved about 4 years and 8 months after its release on April 5, 2019, is a testament to the continuous love from their global fans.

With this achievement, BLACKPINK becomes the first K-Pop artist to have two music videos each surpassing 1.9 billion views. Their other mega-hit song 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' had previously reached this milestone and is now heading towards 2.2 billion views.

'Kill This Love' features a compelling lead brass and grand drum sound. The music video is a blend of BLACKPINK's powerful and charismatic performances with sophisticated visuals that enhance the mood of the song, capturing the hearts of music fans worldwide.

Notably, the video has received praise for its addictive choreography, including a rifle-shooting-like motion, and was named in the 'Top 10 Most Watched Music Videos of 2019 Worldwide' as the only K-Pop entry.

The song itself has left significant marks on various global charts. Upon its release, it debuted at number 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 and 24 on the Billboard 200 in its first week, setting the highest record for a K-Pop girl group at that time.

BLACKPINK recently completed their 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK]', the largest world tour by a K-Pop girl group, drawing an audience of about 1.8 million. Adding their groundbreaking performances as the first Asian headliners at the American Coachella Festival (with a combined attendance of 250,000 over two days) and at London's Hyde Park (65,000 attendees), they have connected with a staggering 2.115 million fans, solidifying their status as a 'world-class' act.
