In an incendiary response to the recent GOP primary debate, former President Donald Trump unleashed a barrage of critiques on his political adversaries and debate moderator Megyn Kelly, signaling a continuation of his famously confrontational style.

In a scathing post on Truth Social, Trump did not hold back his opinions on the debate held on December 6. "So many people are asking what I thought of history's lowest rated 'presidential' debate, & how would I rate the players," Trump began, setting the stage for his unfiltered criticism.

Trump's harshest words were reserved for debate moderator Megyn Kelly, reigniting a long-standing feud. "The biggest loser was Megyn Kelly, what the hell happened to her? She has lost whatever she once had, which wasn't very much. Some things never change!" he wrote. This latest attack on Kelly follows their contentious history, which dates back to the 2016 Republican primary debates.

Turning his attention to the GOP candidates, Trump's critique was equally unsparing. "I thought Ron DeSanctimonious was terrible, with his bobble head facial movements & his walking on eggs, but that Sloppy Chris Christie was worse," he declared, referencing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. "He's not fit, mentally or physically, to be President plus, he suffers from TDS, or Trump Derangement Syndrome, at levels not seen before. In other words, he is a 'sick puppy.'"

Nikki Haley, another contender, was not spared either. Trump described her as "Birdbrain looked different & lost, but I give her second place." His favorable comments were reserved for Vivek Ramaswamy, whom he claimed won the debate because "he thinks I'm great."

Trump's critique comes amid a heated political climate as he eyes a return to the presidential race in 2024. His unapologetic, combative style continues to be a hallmark of his political persona, often polarizing but always engaging his base. The former president's relentless drive and willingness to engage in political combat signal a continued influence on the Republican party and its future direction.

As Trump's comments reverberate through political circles, they underscore the deep divisions within the GOP and the ongoing struggle for its identity in the post-Trump era. His words not only highlight his enduring impact on the party but also set the stage for a potentially tumultuous primary season ahead.
