BTS's Jungkook has proven his 'supercharged solo power' by refreshing the record for the shortest time taken by an Asian artist to hit 2 billion streams with 'GOLDEN'. Released on November 3, Jungkook's debut solo album 'GOLDEN' has surpassed 2 billion (pre-filtering) streams on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform.

Comprising a total of 11 tracks, the album 'GOLDEN' achieved an impressive 2 billion 247 thousand 8281 streams in just 42 days after its release, demonstrating its overwhelming popularity and impact.

Remarkably, 'GOLDEN' has set new records as the fastest Asian artist's regular studio album to reach 2 billion streams on Spotify and as the first and only K-pop solo artist album to break the 2 billion barrier.

At the time of surpassing 2 billion, tracks from the 'GOLDEN' album recorded significant individual streaming numbers, with 'Seven' at 1.19 billion, 'Standing Next to You' at 210.35 million, '3D' at 298.16 million, 'Yes or No' at 59.82 million, 'Hate You' at 45.88 million, 'Please Don't Change' at 43.29 million, 'Closer to You' at 38.28 million, 'Somebody' at 36.97 million, 'Shot Glass of Tears' at 36.16 million, and 'Too Sad To Dance' at 35.31 million.

'GOLDEN' has also continuously dominated Spotify's Weekly (weekly) Top Album Global Chart, maintaining a spot in the top 5 for five consecutive weeks and in the top 10 for six weeks, illustrating its golden success and powerful long-running performance.

Earlier, 'GOLDEN' claimed the top spots on various Spotify debut charts, including 'Top Album Debut Global', 'Top Album Debut USA', and 'Top Album Debut UK'.

As of December 4th (Korean time), 'GOLDEN' achieved a milestone as the first K-pop solo artist album of 2023 to sell over 500,000 units in the USA in less than a month after its release.

Furthermore, on the U.S. Billboard charts, 'GOLDEN' debuted at number 2 on the main album chart 'Billboard 200', tying for the highest-ranking position ever achieved by a K-pop solo artist. It also debuted at number 1 on both the 'Top Sales Album' and 'Top Current Album' charts, and at 15th on the 'Top Streaming Album' chart, marking the first-ever entry by a K-pop artist in these categories. In the UK Official Album Top 100 chart, it debuted at an all-time high for a K-pop solo artist album at number 3.

'GOLDEN' has also been recognized in esteemed lists such as the New York Times' 'Best Albums of 2023' and UPROXX's 'The Best Albums Of 2023'. According to Spotify's '2023 Wrapped' year-end campaign, Jungkook was among the top streamed artists globally with 'Seven', a track from 'GOLDEN', ranking 4th in the 'Top Tracks of 2023', reaffirming his status as a global pop star. Additionally, 'Seven' was also the most-streamed song in Korea for the year.

Moreover, 'GOLDEN' achieved 'Double Million Seller' status by selling 2 million copies within just 5 hours of its release, setting a new record for the highest first-week sales (Chodong) by a K-pop solo artist. Within two weeks of release, a total of 2,501,158 copies were sold, marking the first solo album to sell over 2.5 million copies since the Hanteo Chart revised its counting method in 2010.
