BTS's Jungkook's 'GOLDEN' has surpassed 1 billion streams on YouTube, setting a first and unique record for a Korean solo artist album. Released on November 3rd, Jungkook's debut solo album 'GOLDEN' recently crossed the 1 billion streaming mark on YouTube Music.

Comprising 11 tracks, the album 'GOLDEN' achieved this remarkable feat in just 54 days after its release. 'GOLDEN' has set a unique and first-ever record for a Korean solo artist album by hitting the 1 billion mark, leaving an impressive legacy.

Among the songs in 'GOLDEN,' 'Seven' recorded the highest streaming with 618 million, followed by '3D' with 168 million, 'Standing Next to You' with 119 million, 'Hate You' with 29 million, and 'Yes or No' with 28 million.

Previously, 'GOLDEN' also set a major record on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, by being the fastest Asian artist's studio album and the first and only K-pop solo artist album to reach 2 billion streams. On Spotify's Weekly Top Albums Global Chart, 'GOLDEN' showcased its immense popularity by staying in the top 5 for '5 consecutive weeks' and in the top 10 for '6 consecutive weeks.'

Additionally, 'GOLDEN' achieved the highest-ranking tie record for a K-pop solo artist by debuting at number 2 on the main album chart 'Billboard 200' in the United States. It debuted at number 1 on both 'Top Album Sales' and 'Top Current Album' charts and made history as the first K-pop solo artist to chart on the 'Top Streaming Albums' at 15th place. In the United Kingdom's Official Album Top 100 chart, it debuted at the highest position ever for a K-pop solo artist album at number 3.

As of December 4th (Korean time), 'GOLDEN' achieved another first for a 2023 K-pop solo artist album by selling over 500,000 units in the United States in less than a month since its release.

'GOLDEN' was also featured in the New York Times's 'Best Albums of 2023' and UPROXX's 'The Best Albums Of 2023.' Furthermore, 'GOLDEN' became a 'double million-seller' by surpassing 2 million sales in just 5 hours after release and set a new record for the highest first-week sales (initial chodong) by a K-pop solo artist on the release day. In just two weeks, it sold a total of 2,501,158 copies, becoming the first solo album to sell over 2.5 million copies in 13 years since the sales tracking method was revised by Hanteo Chart in 2010.
