Jimin from the group BTS has illuminated his global popularity by being named the most-listened-to artist by customers of Emirates Airlines in 2023.

Emirates Airlines, an international airline serving over 140 destinations worldwide, recently analyzed and announced the data on the most consumed content onboard throughout 2023. Among the global musicians listed, Jimin's name shone brightly.

According to the airline's data, from a library comprising over 3,000 albums, 500 playlists, 40,000 tracks, and 4,000 hours of music and podcasts, Jimin emerged as one of the passengers' favorite artists alongside names like Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift. This acknowledgment proves that Jimin, as a K-pop solo artist, has captivated the hearts of numerous global fans.

Mashable Middle East, a global multi-platform covering media and entertainment, praised Jimin by stating, "Jimin has conquered the skies," noting that "Jimin's melodies stood tall alongside chart-topping singers like Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift. The 'It Boy of K-pop' has earned the nickname 'Global It Boy' due to his tremendous popularity."

Additionally, SK pop, operated by another global outlet Sportskeeda, reported, "Jimin's fans rejoiced and celebrated this special moment on social media, hearing that passengers enjoyed Jimin's music." The outlet highlighted fan reactions like, "Jimin, the world is in your hands," "There's a reason he's called the Global It Boy!", and "I too listened to Jimin's music throughout my long flights."

The media further detailed, "Jimin has secured millions of listeners on platforms like Spotify, positioning himself as a prominent artist in the pop music industry. His song 'Like Crazy' exerted influence among listeners worldwide, making him the first K-pop solo artist to achieve No. 1 on Billboard's 'Hot 100.' On Spotify, three of his album tracks ranked within the top 10 most-streamed K-pop songs: 'Like Crazy' in Korean (3rd), 'Like Crazy' in English (7th), and 'Set Me Free Pt.2' (9th)."

Enstarz, an American entertainment news site, also covered the news, adding, "Just two months after his solo debut and 393 days later, Jimin broke the record for the fastest 1 billion streams by a K-pop solo artist on Spotify, earning a spot in the Guinness Book. His album 'FACE' acted as a catalyst for this surge in popularity."

Jimin, marking his 10th year since debut, participated extensively in composing and writing lyrics for his first solo album 'FACE,' which contains heartfelt confessions. As his melodies resonate high above, anticipation grows not only for his continued representation of K-pop but also for his future endeavors as a singer-songwriter.
