BTS member Jungkook has once again showcased his status as a world-class pop star by re-entering the top 10 of two Billboard Global charts. According to the latest charts released by American music media Billboard (as of January 13), Jungkook's solo single 'Seven' has climbed to the 9th position on the 'Global 200' chart.
'Seven' achieved this remarkable feat by jumping 35 spots from the previous week, demonstrating a significant comeback on the chart.
In addition, both 'Seven' and 'Standing Next to You' have secured the 4th and 7th positions, respectively, on the 'Global (excl. U.S.)' chart, showcasing Jungkook's strong presence in both charts.
'Seven' has been charting for a total of 25 weeks on the 'Global 200' and 'Global (excl. U.S.)' charts, while 'Standing Next to You' has been charting for 9 weeks on the 'Global (excl. U.S.)' chart, continuing its popularity.
Furthermore, 'Standing Next to You' debuted at 5th place on the Billboard main singles chart 'Hot 100', and currently ranks at 70th place in its 9th week. It also recorded 1st place on the Digital Song Sales chart and entered 3rd place in its 9th week.
Previously, Jungkook conquered the top of Billboard's 'Global 200' and 'Global (excl. U.S.)' charts with three songs: 'Seven', '3D', and 'Standing Next to You', each hitting 1st place. He made Billboard history as the first solo artist to have three songs achieve the 1st place in one year on both 'Global' charts. He also became the first Asian artist to simultaneously chart 10 songs on both 'Global 200' and 'Global (excl. U.S.)' charts.
'Seven' has achieved 1st place on 'Hot 100', remained 1st for 9 consecutive weeks on 'Global (excl. U.S.)', and secured 1st place for 7 consecutive weeks on 'Global 200'. It's the first and longest-running Asian artist song to concurrently hold the 1st place for 7 weeks on both charts.
Jungkook has set a new record for the longest Billboard 'Hot 100' chart entry as a K-pop solo artist, with a total of 57 weeks. Both 'Seven' and 'Standing Next to You' are close to reaching 1.3 billion and 300 million streams on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform.
Meanwhile, Jungkook has been nominated in four categories at the upcoming '2024 People's Choice Awards' (E! People's Choice Awards 2024·PCAs) scheduled for February 18th. He is up for 'Pop Artist of the Year', 'Male Artist of the Year', 'New Artist of the Year', and 'Collaboration Song of the Year', setting a new record for the most nominations for a K-pop solo artist.
