Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter of former President Donald Trump, has spoken out about the "disheartening" speculation surrounding Princess of Wales Kate Middleton's health in the months leading up to her cancer announcement. In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Ivanka expressed her sadness upon learning of Middleton's diagnosis and called for support and kindness during this challenging time.

"I am deeply saddened to hear about Princess Kate's diagnosis. Amidst the trials she faces, her strength and grace continue to shine brightly," Ivanka wrote. "It's disheartening to see the speculation that has surrounded her, particularly during a time when support and kindness are most needed."

Middleton, who underwent major abdominal surgery in January, had been the subject of numerous online conspiracies and rumors due to her extended absence from public duties. Kensington Palace had initially announced that the princess would likely not return to her official roles until after Easter. However, on Friday, Middleton revealed that while her surgery was "successful" and her condition was initially thought to be non-cancerous, "tests after the operation found cancer had been present."

Ivanka Trump, whose father is the presumed Republican presidential nominee for the 2024 election, offered her thoughts and prayers to Middleton and her family, urging others to respect their privacy during this difficult period. "During this challenging period, my thoughts and prayers are with Kate and her family. I hope for her swift and full recovery, and I look forward to seeing her continue to inspire and make a positive impact in the lives of others. Let us all show our support by respecting her privacy and focusing on sending positive thoughts her way," she wrote.

The White House also addressed Middleton's cancer diagnosis during a press briefing on Friday, with Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre expressing the administration's support and well wishes for the princess and her family. "Our thoughts are with the Duchess of Cambridge and her family members and friends during this incredibly difficult time, and certainly we wish her a full recovery," Jean-Pierre said. "I think it's important that we respect their privacy, especially at this time."

Jean-Pierre added that while the White House did not have any information to share regarding whether President Biden had spoken to Middleton or her family, they wanted to emphasize their respect for the family's privacy during this challenging period. "Obviously we wish the Duchess of Cambridge a full recovery, and we are incredibly sad to hear of the news," she reiterated.

The news of Middleton's cancer diagnosis has sent shockwaves through the global community, with many celebrities and public figures expressing their support for the princess. Earlier this month, reality star Kim Kardashian weighed in on the speculation surrounding Middleton's health, and several U.S. talk shows dedicated segments to discuss the royal family's situation.

Middleton's deeply moving video message, posted online on Friday, revealed that the cancer was discovered while she underwent major abdominal surgery at the London Clinic at the start of the year. The 42-year-old princess shared that she needed time to recover from the surgery before beginning "preventative chemotherapy," as advised by her medical team. "This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family," she said.

The princess's cancer diagnosis comes as a devastating blow to the royal family, with both Middleton and King Charles now battling cancer simultaneously. The global outpouring of support and well wishes for the princess and her family underscores the immense impact she has had on the public and the love and admiration she has garnered throughout her time as a member of the royal family.
