Eva Longoria has joined the flotilla of celebrities leaving Los Angeles, stating last week that she and husband Jose Baston are packing up and going to Spain, a new report claimed.

The couple and their 5-year-old son Santiago are keen to break free from the "Hollywood cycle," so they have reduced the price of their Beverly Hills estate and are preparing to move into their freshly remodeled Marbella home.

“They don’t want their son to be educated in LA and had to get out in time for him to start school in Spain next August. They want him in a more normal environment,” a source close to Eva told Woman’s Day Australia.

“They are already shipping their belongings there and this is not something that they will change their mind on. They want to raise their son in a place where he will be surrounded by nature and beauty and not be sucked into the whole Hollywood cycle. They are moving to their home in Spain full time and are both so excited about it. She has had everything that she wanted in Hollywood,” another insider told Daily Mail.

A Spanish resident, Eva reportedly has a several projects lined up there for the second half of the year and recently described the country as her oasis and paradise.

“The first time I came to Marbella, two decades ago, it was love at first sight. I said to myself: 'Some day I'll live here.’ It’s my oasis, my paradise. When I’m not here, I work non-stop...It’s a holiday home and my mother, my sisters and their kids all come. And, of course, a big kitchen. In all my homes, I have a kitchen with a huge island, where everyone can sit together and have a glass of wine and nibbles while I cook. I love the kitchen – it’s always the heart of the house. And the one here is the best of all,” the “Overboard” actress told iHola Spain in January.

For starters, Eva and Jose purchased their six-bedroom home in Marbella last year, and the actress recently said she enjoys spending time there. The Texas native is also looking forward to being closer to her best friend Victoria Beckham in the UK, who has already planned a trip as soon as Eva is ready.

Eva Longoria initially became acquainted with Spain through the Global Gift Foundation, where she serves as honorary president. Melanie Griffith fell in love with Marbella over 20 years ago after being introduced by her close friend María Bravo.
