Katy Perry is allegedly seeking for new gigs now that her tenure on "American Idol" has ended. A new report claimed her primary priority is to get back onstage and give longtime rival Taylor Swift a serious beating, reigniting their long-running spat.

“Katy might play like she’s Taylor’s pal but make no mistake, she’s incredibly competitive and wants to knock Swift down a notch,” an unnamed source told Globe Magazine.

The 39-year-old “Thinking of You” songstress, who has a three-year-old daughter Daisy with fiancé Orlando Bloom, 47, has been working on new music, according to insiders, and is planning a tour, her first in almost six years.

Katy allegedly believes Taylor's “Eras” concerts will bring in $4 billion, compared to her own $80 million haul for her 2017 “Witness Tour.”

“She was happy with her earnings at the time but now that she’s seen what Taylor’s making, it’s a whole different story. Katy wants to show Taylor up and her ego is big enough to think she can,” the informant said.

Most, if not all, fans are aware that Katy and Taylor had feuded for years following a 2014 altercation in which Taylor accused Katy of attempting to steal backup dancers. The feud sparked Taylor's popular song “Bad Blood” and a lot of trash talk on both sides.

According to Cosmopolitan, Taylor and Perry were apparently friends from 2009 to 2011, tweeting praises and attending each other's birthday parties. During this period, they both supposedly had flings with John Mayer, which, interestingly, did not directly contribute to their conflict — but it does demonstrate how enmeshed they were.

In 2018, Katy made up with Taylor by sending an actual olive branch to his dressing room. However, the tipster said that the songbirds are not as nice as they appear.

The “Roar” singer recently stunned fans when she was sighted at one of Tay-Tay's Australian gigs in Sydney, but moles say it was all part of Katy's plan.

“Got to see an old friend shine tonight,” Katy posted on Instagram alongside a snap and video carousel of her posing for a selfie with Taylor. The carousel also had a pretty humorous video of Perry singing along to "Bad Blood," a song allegedly about their prior fight, with a little astonished expression on her face.

“Katy is as calculating as it gets, and knows her reputation took a hit when she was openly feuding with Taylor, so she wants to fix that for the sake of her bank balance,” the snitch said.

Business Times has yet to comment on the claims that she is aims to replace Taylor Swift as the reigning queen of pop.
