Senior advisers are concerned that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's visit to Canada for the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 may result in a crisis within the Commonwealth.

As per a reliable source, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's previous remarks regarding their worries about the connection between 56 member states have sparked several internal debates inside the Palace on the most effective approach to managing the Sussexes' association with Canada.

“Harry and Meghan haven’t exactly been very supportive in the past. This trip [to Vancouver in February, 2025] has been flagged as of great importance over fears that any negative sentiments made about the union during their visit could jeopardise the Commonwealth. It’s even been discussed that it might be beneficial to get Harry and Meghan back on side in case there are any incidents that occur while they are promoting the Invictus Games,” the anonymous insider told Express UK.

Prince Harry and Meghan departed for Canada in 2020 as part of a decision referred to as Megxit. The royal pair relinquished their royal obligations and resigned as senior members of the royal family.

Initially, there was speculation that Prince Harry would assume a formal position in a Commonwealth nation. However, this idea was quickly abandoned when it became known that the Sussexes had relocated from Canada to Montecito in California.

“Meghan has a close bond with Canada as she used to live there while filming Suits. “The original plan was for them to set up base there and Harry would take on some kind of semi-official role, but it didn’t work out so they moved to the United States,” the informant said.

The Netflix documentary produced by Prince Harry and Meghan was reportedly deemed as profoundly disrespectful towards the deceased Queen Elizabeth. The Netflix documentary produced by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has been accused of undermining Queen Elizabeth's historical influence, as it was referred to as "Empire 2.0" within the program.

“There is no way that we can move forward unless we acknowledge the past,” Prince Harry previously said. “We're going to have to be a little uncomfortable right now because it's only in pushing through that discomfort that we get to the other side,” Meghan noted.

According to the tipster, the Royal Family has experienced a decline in communication and cooperation with the Sussexes and the rest of the Firm due to recent developments.

“Let’s just say their [Harry and Meghan’s] views haven’t changed. It will be very interesting to see how that pans out. There are lots of whispers about meetings and discussions going on behind the scenes, but how much of that has been discussed with Harry and Meghan is unclear,” the mole claimed.

Meanwhile, Sunday Express reported that Prince Harry and Meghan intend to bring their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 in February of next year, which is described as being centered around family.

As to the tattler, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are organizing for their children to be present for the opening ceremony at BC Place Vancouver. The ceremony will commence at 1pm on February 8 and is designed to be suitable for families.

“The Sussexes have been very involved with the organizational elements of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler events and it was very much their idea to make this a family-friendly games so that those taking part can bring their children along,” the spy said.
