There are certain individuals within the establishment who consider Prince Harry to be a "threat to the crown,” royal author Omid Scobie claimed.

As a result of his pro-Sussex literature, Omid has been dubbed to as Meghan Markle's spokesperson. His most recent book, “Endgame,” which was published in November of the previous year, had a number of statements that were deemed controversial.

There are a number of reasons for this, one of which is that the author was reportedly aware of the true reason why Prince Harry wanted to leave, which was related to his desire for personal freedom.

"These are probably sad realizations that will be had far too late in the journey. In the eyes of some within the institution, Harry is a threat to the crown. His freedom to exert his own thinking outside of the confines of the institution has made him the enemy,” Omid penned in his book, as per Express UK.

Following the announcement of their plan to leave the Firm in January 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will eventually make their home in Montecito, which is located in the state of California, which is Meghan's home state.

Since that time, Prince Harry and Meghan have maintained their distance from the Firm, and their candid interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 and the accompanying documentary series that they produced on Netflix have not helped to improve their relationship with the royal family.

One royal in particular who has had a difficult time repairing his relationship with his younger brother is Prince William, whom Prince Harry accused of physically assaulting him in his memoir titled “Spare.”

Omid asserted that neither of them had changed in their relationship over the course of the years, and that the likelihood of them reconciling at this point seemed to be quite low.

"I was talking to a source quite early on in the process, and they called Harry a 'defector' and said that was William's view. These were two men who once upon a time were firmly aligned in their outlook. One of them had to move on to also protect the crown,” Omid wrote.

After Prince Harry began his relationship with Meghan, the Prince of Wales reportedly "doesn't want to know" him anymore and no longer recognizes him.

Meanwhile, a number of royal sources have expressed their opinion that Prince Harry has been criticized for his most recent "pathetic" gesture, which demonstrates that he is still in "desperate need of attention."

As a result of his efforts with the Invictus Games, Prince Harry is going to be presented with the Pat Tillman Award for Service. This award is named after an NFL player-turned-army veteran who unfortunately passed away in Afghanistan as a result of friendly fire.

In the event that Prince Harry does not decline the prize, it will be presented to him during the ESPY Awards on June 11. This has caused some who are near and dear to the Royal Family to express their disapproval.

"I’m afraid it’s just a clear symbol of his desperate need for attention. The irony of the whole of the last four years is that Harry and Meghan said they were leaving the Royal Family so the media would leave them alone,” a pal close to the royal family told The Daily Beast.

Tillman's mother Mary also expressed her anger at the nomination. "I am shocked as to why they would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award. There are recipients that are far more fitting,” she told The Daily Mail.
