Matt Damon is providing Ben Affleck, his longstanding friend, with all of his support in the midst of the difficulties that the “Argo” star is experiencing in his marriage to Jennifer Lopez, a new report claimed.
"Matt’s No. 1 priority right now is keeping Ben out of trouble. The last thing anyone wants is for Ben to turn to alcohol again. Matt has straight out told him that relapse is not an option,” an unnamed source told Life & Style Magazine.
OK! Magazine previously reported that that some others were concerned that the strain of Ben's problems with the singer, who is 54 years old, could have an impact on his sobriety. Most, if not all, fans are aware that the “Gone Girl” actor has struggled with alcohol addiction for many years, and he most recently sought rehabilitation in 2018.
During that time, the father of three, who is now 51 years old, was accompanied by his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, who is now 52 years old. Jennifer Garner has "always been a calming influence on Ben," which is why Matt is pressing Ben to remain extremely close to her and their three children, according to the insider.
An additional claim made by the informant was that Damon, who is 53 years old, "agreed to co-star with Ben in a new crime thriller called RIP." There is anything that can be done to prevent him from having time on his hands.
In the beginning of this year, there were reports that Ben and Jennifer Lopez were going to divorce, and it was quickly discovered that the couple was living apart from one another. Additionally, the couple included the California mansion that they purchased together the previous year for a total price of sixty million dollars.
It has been stated that the differences in lives between the couples are the root cause of their issues. Jennifer is known for her outgoing and gregarious personality, whereas the native of Boston likes to lead a more secluded life.
Despite the fact that neither party has submitted any paperwork, friends are still clinging out a "sliver of hope" that Ben and Jennifer could reconcile.
"They are going through so much individually and as a couple. They may take some time to see if this complicated moment can resolve itself and they come back to each other [as] better people,” the mole claimed.
Despite the fact that Jennifer is "still clinging to the possibility that they can turn things around," Affleck is apparently over it.
"The divorce is happening; it’s just a question of timing. Ben is telling friends that he’s looking forward to the next chapter. He wants a life with serenity and peace, and escaping this roller coaster will be a relief,” the tattler insisted.
