There is a certain scene in the summer blockbuster “Twisters” that everyone is talking about, and it has nothing to do with a tornado. When Glen Powell's maverick storm chaser comes outdoors wearing a white T-shirt that gets soaked in the rain, it is the moment that causes audible gasps to be heard from virtually every audience that sees it.
“You know, I trimmed it down. For a day, that scene was shorter, and then [my editor] said, ‘There’s gonna be a riot if you do not restore that footage.’ I said, ‘From who?’ And she said, ‘The ladies,’” the movie’s director, Lee Isaac Chung admitted.
It is true that women all across the world are unable to get enough of the newest golden boy in Hollywood. “He’s gorgeous, charming and talented — a total catch,” an unnamed source told Life & Style Magazine of Glen, who, in the span of just one year, has showcased her talents in the critically acclaimed romantic comedy "Anyone But You," the seductive independent film "Hit Man," and now the action-packed disaster blockbuster.
“Women are throwing himself at him,” the anonymous insider added but the heartthrob showed up to the premiere of “Twisters” in Los Angeles on July 11 with his rescue dog, Brisket, on his arm. “Everyone is wondering why he’s still single,” it went on.
Since he was last in a romantic partnership, it has been more than a century. “I was going through a very real breakup amidst a promotional tour [for Anyone But You],” Glen has said of the end of his three-year romance with model Gigi Paris, whom he “really loved and cared about.”
The 2023 breakup was attributed by those with knowledge of the situation to the fact that they were separated for a considerable amount of time while he was filming, as per PEOPLE Magazine.
“He was so busy with his career, he couldn’t focus as much on the relationship as he should have. By all accounts, he’s a really good guy. He’s even still friends with Nina,” the informant told the entertainment news outlet says of the 35-year-old, who’s also been linked to actress Nina Dobrev and Australian TV host Renee Bargh.
On the other hand, while his fame continues to soar, Glen is equally hesitant about venturing into anything new. “It’s been hard to figure out if people want to date him for the right reasons,” the tipster stated, noting that, recently, Glen relocated back to his homeland in Austin, Texas, "in order to surround himself with his family and more genuine people, rather than Hollywood types."
Brisket, whom Glen adopted, is reported to be fulfilling his "desire to be a father" at this point in time, according to him. However, the wife and the “human” children will have to wait for a bit.
“I realize it’s going to take a very specific type of person to navigate this [lifestyle]. I’m not willing to have someone sign up for that if they’re not ready for it,” Glen said of why he’s “not chasing love. [But] if love comes and hits me in the face and knocks me over, I welcome it with open arms because that’s something I really want. It’s not far away.”
