Country singer Carried Underwood’s marriage is hitting some sour notes, thanks to her obsession with the sweet smell of success, a new report claimed.

The “Before He Cheats” hitmaker played a concert in Hawaii recently and took Mike Fisher, her husband, along for some couple time. However, an unnamed source told The National enquirer that the former hockey player was left feeling like a castaway, thanks to his wife’s workaholic ways.

“It was supposed to be a vacation in paradise but she was either working o r with her band and Mike felt left out. Sure, she posed for snaps with him, but she was consumed with work,” the anonymous insider told Globe Magazine.

The ambitious “American Idol” alum is resuming her Resorts World residency this month and plans to bring Mile and their two songs—Isaiah, 9, and Jacob, 5--with her, but it will be anything but a Vegas vacation for him.

“Mike will got with her but more as kid-sitter than lover. He’s longing for some alone time with his wife, but there isn’t much opportunity for it. She always promises to make more time for him but then before long she’s back to making life all about work, or the kids, with Mike feeling stuck in last place. Her friends worry that she’s doing their marriage disservice by not carving out enough time for romance,” the informant suggested.

Business Times has reached out to Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher for comments.

Meanwhile, according to Deadline, Carrie as taken the position of Katy Perry on the judging panel of “American Idol.” For starters, Carrie gained prominence by emerging as the victor in the fourth season of the program, initially broadcasted on Fox and subsequently transferred to ABC.

Carrie is anticipated to join Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan as a member of the panel for Season 25. The Disney-owned network has been actively seeking a replacement for the past few months.

Deadline claimed other individuals who were reportedly considered for the role prior to Underwood were Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, as mentioned by Luke Bryan. Additionally, Pink and Meghan Trainor were also mentioned as potential candidates.

Carrie, with over 85 million albums sold, is largely regarded as the most successful among the winners of American Idol. She performed her audition for the show, which was airing on Fox at the time, singing Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me." Her rendition of "Alone" was considered to be one of the factors that contributed to her victory.

Carrie has been a subject of interest for various music competition series such as “American Idol” and “The Voice.” “Idol” has shown a strong interest in rehiring some of its past successful participants as judges. In 2018, Kelly Clarkson, the winner of the inaugural season of the “American Idol” in 2002, was initially considered as a potential candidate but ultimately decided to join “The Voice” instead.
