During the time when Ben Affleck was going through his divorce from Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner and her boyfriend, John Miller, "have been on a break" from their relationship, a new report claimed.
“Jen’s had so much going on with Ben, it just took a toll. And she and John ended up going their separate ways. It wasn’t her choice,” an unnamed source told Life & Style Magazine.
While Ben has been struggling in his marriage to J. Lo, who is 55 years old, he has been relying on Jennifer, who is 52 years old, in times of need. Ben, who is 52 years old, and Jennifer, who is also 52 years old, were seen arriving in Los Angeles together on Tuesday, August 20, after traveling to Connecticut to drop off their daughter Violet, who was attending Yale University.
After being married to Ben for two years, J. Lo filed for divorce just a few hours before they went out together during their outing. It was on the second anniversary of her and Ben's second wedding, which took place at his Georgia estate, that she submitted the paperwork to the Los Angeles Superior Court.
In the filing, J. Lo stated that the date of their separation would be April 26, 2024, and she did so without the assistance of an attorney. Moreover, the actress from the “Wedding Planner” did not disclose whether or not a prenuptial agreement was in existence.
Ben and J. Lo's marital problems were brought to light for the first time in May when In Touch Weekly published an exclusive report stating that they were on the verge of a divorce. Despite the fact that neither J. Lo nor Ben disclosed their relationship status to the public, they did give an indication that they were no longer together by spending the summer apart. In the meantime, the actor from “Gone Girl” has been observed spending a significant amount of time with Jennifer during the past few months.
“Ben’s been turning to Jen [Garner] for advice and support, and that’s been a big source of annoyance for John. He doesn’t enjoy competing with her ex-husband for her attention,” an anonymous insider told the entertainment news outlet.
Then, it went on to clarify that Ben and John, who is 46 years old, have always had a good relationship. “John likes Ben and tries to be understanding, but there’s only so much a guy can take,” the informant noted.
“[Ben] basically made Jen into his personal therapist once he started having issues with J. Lo. She’s who he’d run to. But it got even worse after he left J. Lo. When he moved out, he got so incredibly needy. It was one crisis after another, and when he’s in that state, Jen is always there for him without fail. John has finally had enough,” the tipster shared.
The mole stated that "some friends have been saying" that the breakup between Jennifer and John is "all Ben's fault. “Jen can be very easy on Ben, but privately, even she admits he’s taken up a lot of her time – especially because they’ve had so much parenting to deal with,” it went on.
However, it would appear that Jennifer is not interested in reuniting with her ex-husband, despite the fact that she has been by his side throughout the dissolution of his marriage to J. Lo. “It’s got nothing to do with Jen having feelings for Ben — she’s not carrying some torch for him. It comes down to what’s best for her kids. Jen is the type of mom who will always put their needs above her own,” the tattler said.
Ben and Jennifer – who were married from 2005 until 2018 – share kids Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.
“Jen’s second chance at love has been ruined. Instead of blaming Ben, she takes full responsibility for her life — though her friends aren’t as forgiving,” the spy continued, referencing her romance with John.
The first time Jen and John were mentioned together was in 2018, and they went through a brief breakup in 2020 before getting back together in 2021. “Jen’s inner circle really likes John and hopes they can get back on track one day,” the naysayer said, sharing that their “pals are still rooting for them.”
