Does Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have a chance to make things right this time?
Following the filing of a divorce petition by the Selena actress, who is 55 years old, from her husband, who is 52 years old and has been estranged from her since August, the couple reconnected in public for the first time to take their children out to lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, California. However, a new report claimed that Ben and Jennifer appeared to be anything but together.
"Ben and J.Lo are currently at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel holding hands and kissing. The kids are with them, but at a separate table," an unnamed source told OK! Magazine.
It was previously reported that the "On the Floor" singer and the native of Boston, who appeared to be a little anxious about being with his ex-girlfriend, went out together with Jennifer’s twins Max and Emme, who are 16 years old, as well as Ben’s children, Fin, who is 15 years old, and Samuel, who is 12 years old.
This occurred nearly one month after the former “First Act” star made the decision to legally end their two-year marriage, PEOPLE Magazine reported.
Many people inside the industry have asserted that Jennifer, who is a mother of two, is devastated by the fact that their fairytale romance has come to an end. Therefore, a probable reunion between Jennifer and the “Air" star would not be the most insane thing that could arise.
"She really believes he is the love of her life, but she doesn't understand why he was done so fast. He [Affleck] still has love for her but couldn't handle everything that came with being married to her,” an anonymous insider said to Page Six.
Members of Jennifer’s closest circle have also indicated that the breakup has left her in utter disarray. She was determined to make an effort to improve their marriage, but Ben made it clear that there was little chance of success. It was then that she decided to file. Despite the fact that she is putting on a strong face in public, she has been fighting back tears behind closed doors. This year is the worst of her entire life.
“She truly believed this was the greatest love story she’d ever known and she was finally getting her chance at the fairy tale. She just really didn’t stop to consider who the actual man was [in] the fairy tale,” the undisclosed informant shared.
After breaking off their initial engagement in 2004, the couple brought their relationship back to life in the early 2000s in the year 2001. Nevertheless, the problems they had in the past came back to haunt them. “Ben has a darkness to him that no other person can fix. [His ex-wife] Jennifer Garner couldn’t fix it, all the success in the world couldn’t fix it,” another tipster shared.
