Following her high-profile divorce from Brad Pitt in 2016, Angelina Jolie has refrained from attending significant Hollywood events. However, this awards season, she may reconsider her stance.

"Since their split she’s kept her distance," the source disclosed the information to a news outlet. "She’s never been a big Hollywood schmoozer."

Nevertheless, the insider stated that Angelina has been "making her presence on the scene very felt" in comparison to previous years, and this is due to the speculations that her Maria Callas biopic, "Maria," could be nominated for an Academy Award.

Regarding Brad, the informant stated that "the possibility of having to run into her is annoying."

"What really bugs him is the idea that she’s marching around town like she’s the queen bee," the tipster persisted. "Brad's pretty accustomed to being the toast of awards season every year, thanks to his production company, Plan B, that always manages to win something, but what he isn’t used to is having Angelina there."

The feuding ex-couples were able to avoid running into each other at the 2024 Venice Film Festival, where Angelina attended the premiere of "Maria" and Brad attended the premiere of "Wolfs," as reported by OK! Magazine.

"Angelina will be on the first day, on Thursday [Aug.] 29, and she will leave right after with [Maria director] Pablo Larraín to go to [the] Telluride [Film Festival]," Alberto Barbera, the artistic director of the event, elaborated. "Brad will arrive only on Saturday, to Venice. There is no way that they can cross each other at the Lido."

Angelina does not intend to remain in Los Angeles indefinitely, despite her success in the film industry as the protagonist of "Maleficent." In a recent interview, she disclosed that she is currently residing in Southern California solely as a result of her divorce and will likely depart as soon as her youngest children reach the age of 18.

With "Troy" actor, Angelina shares Maddox, 23, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

"I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be … that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here," Angelina stated.

Angelina's sentiments regarding awards ceremonies were disclosed to In Touch Weekly by the spy.

“He thinks [Angelina’s] arrogant, vindictive, mean spirited,” according to the mole, “after the hell she’s put him through no one can blame him for saying some pretty harsh things about her.”

“Angelina’s just as dismissive of Brad, she’s even taking shots at him in interviews and making him out to be some jailer that’s keeping her in L.A. against her wishes. Brad is indisputably more popular with the majority of the big players in Hollywood, he’s the golden boy, so people are bound to take his side in this, which is going to make it a pretty awkward awards season for Angelina," the tattler said.
