Still haunting Donald Trump's mind is that Kamala Harris worked at McDonald's during the summer.
The former president called the vice president "lyin' Kamala" during a campaign speech in Michigan because he said she had never worked for the famous fast-food chain.
"She never worked there, it was a lie," he informed his supporters. "Never worked there."
"You know what's weird about that one? It's so simple. It's not like complex. We don't have to go through the history...she said, 'I worked at McDonald's. It was a tough job.' She said she worked over the French fries," he further stated, as per OK! Magazine. "You know, it's probably not so nice if it's 200 degrees ... it turned out to be a lie. It's all a big lie. She's not qualified to be the president."
X users who were critical of Trump on Twitter couldn't resist making fun of the 78-year-old for being so preoccupied with the subject. Many assumed it was because Trump is known to enjoy fast food at McDonald's.
According to one user, "He hates the fact that she worked at his favorite restaurant," and another added, "She ruined McDonald's for him #McSad."
Others took issue with Trump's subsequent assertion that Harris did not meet the requirements to become President of the United States.
An irate reviewer joked, "I didn't know throwing fries in hot oil was needed to be president. " Another individual added, "He continues to say the 2020 election was stolen despite being proven wrong time and time again, but yet Kamala lied about McDonald's and is disqualifying?"
Harris has made multiple prior references to her time spent working at McDonald's, as per The Washington Post. A self-described "a daughter of Oakland, California, who was raised by a working mother and had a summer job at McDonald's" was her August X post bio.
According to a video published by Harris's campaign, the US VP came from a middle-class home, was the daughter of a working mother, and got her degree while working at McDonald's, Politico reported. “Kamala Harris knows what it's like to be middle class,” the video states.
During a news conference on September 26, Trump made the identical assertions, as OK! previously stated.
"Nobody talks about it, but Kamala never had a job at McDonald's. Her resume talks about McDonald's, McDonald's, McDonald's ... She didn't work there. She never worked there at McDonald's. It was a lie." he became very insistent.
However, sources who verify the claims have found no public statement regarding Harris's employment history from McDonald's headquarters.
