Despite bragging to his followers that he doesn't require the helpful technological device, Donald Trump still uses teleprompters at his campaign rallies.
The 78-year-old ex-president made a similar point during rallies in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Georgia not long ago, OK! Magazine reported.
Regarding X, Meidas Touch wrote, "Trump's new thing is reading his prepared remarks off the teleprompter saying that he doesn't need a teleprompter while two teleprompters can be seen in frame."
In response to the controversial businessman's words, users took to the comments section to express their disapproval of his seeming hypocritical behavior.
As a joke, someone said, "I get the impression he thinks they are invisible to everyone but him," one who spoke up later on said, "Someone told him that the teleprompters are clear from behind, so he thinks they're invisible."
According to a third critic, "He doesn't use A teleprompter. He uses two. So he can say he doesn't use A teleprompter," and yet another one said, "You know… I’m starting to think he lies occasionally. Call it a hunch."
Someone else offered the suggestion, "It's one of those lines he just throws in now, part of the word salad. Like a broken salad shooter now — look out!"
In June, during a rally in Las Vegas, President Trump expressed his frustration that his teleprompters were not functioning properly, AP News reported.
"I pay all this money to teleprompter people, and I’d say 20% of the time, they don’t work," Speaking to his audience, he emphasized that he had no intention of paying the vendor following the event. "It’s a mess."
Throughout his 2024 campaign, Trump has been criticized for several hypocritical remarks and embarrassing gaffes, such as failing to pronounce names correctly, tripping over his words, and reiterating false accusations about his opponents, ABC News suggested.
As the 2024 election draws near, this has sparked rumors that Trump's mental condition is deteriorating. Nonetheless, Trump maintains that he is physically fit. The 78-year-old put President Joe Biden to the test during the first presidential debate by challenging him to a mental agility test to demonstrate his fitness for office.
"I took two tests, cognitive tests. I aced them, both of them, as you know, we made it public. He took none. I'd like to see him take one, just one, a real easy one, like go through the first five questions. He couldn't do it," he explained back then.
