Royal insiders have revealed that Princess Catherine, also known as Kate Middleton, has withdrawn from her previous role as peacemaker between her husband, Prince William, and his brother, Prince Harry. According to sources close to the royal family, Kate, who once tried to mediate between the feuding brothers, is no longer interested in resolving their long-standing differences, with some insiders placing the blame squarely on Meghan Markle for escalating the rift.

The claims come amid recent reports suggesting that Kate had reached out to Harry on his 40th birthday. However, those reports have been debunked by royal expert Paula Froelich, who shared with NewsNation that "it's simply not true." Froelich's palace source clarified, "While Kate has played peacemaker with Harry and William in the past, that was before Harry publicly accused her of inciting him to wear a Nazi costume and of being rude to Meghan Markle."

The feud between the two royal brothers, which has been ongoing since Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties in 2020, was further exacerbated by the revelations in Harry's memoir Spare and interviews in which he openly criticized members of the royal family. According to insiders, the publication of the book and other media appearances have left Kate disillusioned with any possibility of reconciling the two princes.

"Kate was deeply upset by Harry's claims, especially the allegations that she and King Charles were involved in racist comments made about Meghan and their children," the source told Froelich. These claims, which surfaced during Harry and Meghan's explosive 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, were later attributed to the royal biography Endgame, authored by Harry's friend Omid Scobie, though the book's Dutch edition reportedly revealed names that were not meant to be disclosed.

The royal source noted that Kate is no longer interested in getting involved in the "endless royal feud." The insider also added that members of the royal family increasingly believe Meghan Markle is at the center of the family's troubles. "The problem is Meghan," the source claimed. "Her motivation is money and prestige. To say you want out of the family but insist on keeping your titles? It's all about commercialism and money for her."

The insider pointed to Meghan's continued use of her Duchess title and her insistence on using the titles of Prince and Princess for her children as examples of what they described as hypocrisy. "Look how she insists on using her Duchess title on her stationery - and insisted on Prince and Princess for her children," they said, adding that other members of the royal family, like Zara Tindall, chose not to give their children titles.

While Harry has indicated in interviews that he wants to repair his relationships with his family, the source said that Meghan's motivations may be standing in the way. "Some day Harry may wake up and come around - but he's not at that point yet," they added.

The tensions between Harry and the royal family remain high, with little sign of resolution in sight. Although the palace issued a generic message to mark Harry's 40th birthday, the absence of personal messages from William, Kate, or King Charles underscored the continued strain within the family. "You'll notice it wasn't signed by Catherine, William, the King or Queen Camilla. It was generic," said Froelich's source.

Further complicating Harry's relationship with the monarchy is his continued insistence on security arrangements that the royal family views as untenable. Despite stepping back from royal duties, Harry has reportedly sought taxpayer-funded police protection during his visits to the UK, a demand that has not been granted. The source claimed that the late Queen Elizabeth II would have been "very disappointed" in Harry's behavior, noting that he has "disrespected her wishes over and over since she died."

As Harry continues his life in California with Meghan and their children, there are rumors that the Duke of Sussex may be looking to return to the UK. However, royal commentators, such as journalist Alex Larman, believe that the public would not welcome him back. "He's behaved so disgracefully and so appallingly," Larman said, adding that some might argue Harry has been "manipulated by his wife."
