Forbes claims that Rihanna's net worth is $1.4 billion, but Taylor's incredible net worth of $1.6 billion much outstrips that.
The report said that Taylor, who became a millionaire earlier this year, used the money from her wildly successful Eras tour to financially put herself ahead of the "Diamonds" singer.
Music, royalties, and concerts were the only means by which the "Cruel Summer" singer became a billionaire. She also has a real estate portfolio worth about $125 million.
The music star's previous record-breaking success came a few months after Forbes published their celebrity billionaire list for 2024, in which she ascended to number fourteen with a worth of $1.1 billion.
Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Steven Spielberg, and Kim Kardashian were among her competitors; this was her first appearance on the esteemed list.
Along with the phenomenal success of her Eras Tour—widely regarded as the highest-grossing female musician tour of all time—Taylor also produced the record-breaking Eras Tour Movie, which, during its debut, racked up over $250 million in sales.
According to Pollstar, in addition to the money she made from her Eras Tour, Taylor also made almost $200 million from merchandise sales.
