Motormouth Martha Stewart always has plenty to say, but not to ex-husband Andrew Stewart. The domestic diva reveals she hasn't spoken to her onetime soulmate in over two decades, a new report claimed.
As stated in the biography section of her website, the couple tied the knot in 1961. Martha was a 19-year-old undergraduate student at Barnard College, and Andy was a student at Yale Law School. They have a child, Alexis Stewart.
Martha claims that sexual misconduct occurred between the couple throughout the entirety of their marriage. It was in 1990 when she submitted her divorce petition, as stated in a document viewed by TODAY.com. On the other hand, Martha noted in the documentary that Andy had requested the legal separation.
In the documentary, Martha said Andy was the one who wanted the divorce and not her, PEOPLE Magazine reported. The actress, who was 40 years old at the time, claimed that her former husband was throwing her away.
"I was gorgeous. I was a desirous woman, but he was treating me like a castaway,” Martha shared in the documentary. “He treated me really badly, and, in return, I guess I treated him badly.”
During their marriage, Martha claimed that her husband was unfaithful.
“I didn’t go run off with people. He was running off with people. I always said I was a swan and like all swans, they are monogamous,” she continued. “And I thought monogamy was admirable. I did. I thought it was admirable. But it turned out that it didn’t save a marriage.”
"The ex-husband?" the 83-year-old self-made billionaire scoffed when asked whether the man she married from 1961 to 1990 had seen her new Netflix documentary, "Martha." "I have no idea. I haven't talked to him for over 20 years. Sadly," she said.
According to GLOBE Magazine, Martha cheated on her hubby, but she brushes that long-ago affair aside, saying, "I don't think Andy ever knew about that," while lacing into him for cheating on her.
After getting married in 1961, Martha and Andy took a trip to Europe. In the documentary, Martha said that she kissed another man during their time abroad.
"Young women, listen to my advice, if you're married and your husband starts to cheat on you, he's a piece of s**t," she announced.
Meanwhile, sources say that Andrew is "furious," and Martha is dredging up dirty details about their time together. According to the insider, he is quite secretive and feels drawn into the drama.
