Since they left their positions as senior working members of the Royal Family in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been residing in California for the past four years.

There has been some speculation that the pair would one day return to the United Kingdom, particularly in light of the continuing dispute with Prince Harry's US visa, which has been going on since he wrote about his former drug use in his memoir Spare, which was published a year ago.

However, according to the Daily Express, an expert believes that they will continue to reside in their Montecito estate for a considerable amount of time.

The pair purchased the estate in 2020, and the nine-bedroom residence is said to have cost around eleven million pounds. They have successfully established themselves in the neighborhood with their two children, Prince Archie, who is five years old, and Princess Lilibet, who is three.

According to Jennie Bond, a former royal journalist for the BBC, the pair has already established themselves solidly in California, which makes it highly improbable that they would go back to the United Kingdom, which is Prince Harry's native country. There are three primary reasons for this.

One more is the freedom that they have in the United States of America in contrast to the freedom that they enjoy in the United Kingdom. They are overjoyed for a number of reasons, one of which is that Prince Archie has already been accepted into a school in their area.

In addition, Meghan has a great relationship with her mother, Doria, who currently lives in close proximity to the couple.

In an interview with OK! Magazine, Jennie Bond expressed that she does not believe they intend to relocate from California. She alluded to the factors that render the Sussexes unlikely to depart from the United States.

The royal commentator stated that Prince Harry and Meghan appear to relish their existence there. The sun, sea, and freedom provide numerous advantages. Meghan cherishes her close relationship with her mother, who is a pivotal person.

The children are established, and Prince Harry has stated that he now considers the United States his home; when he returns to the UK, he minimizes his stay before departing again.

The couple's choice to stay in the U.S. has elicited extensive reactions online, with supporters and detractors expressing their opinions.

"Harry and Meghan have built a beautiful life in California. Why would they ever go back to the UK?” one X user asked. “Freedom, sunshine, and privacy for their kids—California is perfect for the Sussexes!” another netizen commented.

“Harry’s roots are in Britain, but it’s clear his heart is in California now," a third source shared. “The visa issue is overblown. They’re staying for the lifestyle and the kids’ stability," another X user commented.

“Meghan’s bond with her mom is heartwarming. No wonder they’re so settled in Montecito!” a fifth netizen said. “It’s a shame Harry and Meghan won’t return to their royal roles. The UK misses them!” another X user noted.
