The Christmas card that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sent out to their family in 2024 featured a rare glimpse of the couple's two beautiful children.
"On behalf of the office of Prince Harry & Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation, we wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful new year," Monday's message read.
According to Page Six, the digital card had a total of six photographs, one of which depicted Prince Archie, who was five years old, and Princess Lilibet, who was three years old.
Two of the children were positioned so that they were not facing the camera as the family of four had a tender moment together outside.
Princess Lilibet went running toward her father, who was kneeling with his arms extended for an embrace. She was wearing a flowery dress and knee-high white socks as she approached him.
She had her red hair down to her shoulder blades, and it was loose and unkempt.
Prince Archie, on the other hand, welcomed Meghan with her arms out, wearing a green sweater and trousers and flanked by their three dogs.
The card also had three photographs of Prince Harry, who is 40 years old, and the former cast member of "Suits," who is 43 years old, smiling together on joint trips. One of the photographs was from their trip to Colombia, per InStyle.
At the same time that her husband was holding the hand of a patient at a hospital, Meghan was caught giving a kind embrace to a young girl at a charity event.
During a time when the two have been making news for increasing their number of solo trips, the Christmas collage was created.
Netizens were especially moved by the intimate family photos and the couple's apparent commitment to privacy and love for their children.
One fan shared their admiration for the couple's growing children, saying, "Love seeing Archie and Lilibet so happy and loved! They're growing up so fast. ️" Another user noted the contrast between the image of the family in the card and the negative tabloid portrayal, commenting, "Such a sweet card! The family looks so happy and peaceful. Definitely not what the tabloids say!"
Fans were also captivated by a touching moment in the card where Princess Lilibet runs towards her father, with one saying, "Princess Lilibet running to Harry is the sweetest moment. They are such a beautiful family. ."
The children's growth and the family's bond were central themes of many reactions. Another fan marveled at the rapid growth of Archie and Lilibet, saying, "I can't get over how adorable Archie and Lilibet are. They grow up so fast!" What the card appears to demonstrate is that they are still strong together.
At the beginning of this month, Prince Harry felt compelled to respond to rumors that he and the former actress were about to split. He joked that they had already divorced and "apparently ... bought or moved house 10, 12 times ... and divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well."
"It is not a good thing," the former military pilot stated, referring to the attention that is being paid to their union.
Since May of 2018, the pair has been married and currently resides in Montecito, California, with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who were born in the years 2019 and 2021, respectively.
