In light of the fact that the Sussexes' most recent Netflix offering has been made available, Meghan Markle appears to be under a lot of strain.

According to Mirror, "Polo" is a five-episode series that was published earlier this month by the streaming giant. The series' objective is to provide viewers with an insider's perspective on the "elite" and "privileged" sport of polo. Fans of the couple, who are also executive producers of the show, were dissatisfied with the fact that they only made a brief appearance in the program. Prince Harry and Meghan only appear in the fifth and final episode of the documentary.

In addition, this is not the only component of the show that has been criticised either. There have also been critics who have shown a lack of enthusiasm. The idea of the documentary itself was criticized by a number of individuals, who pointed out that the polo field is an example of "the playground of the rich."

This series was referred to as "tedious" by the Telegraph in its review, while the Mail on Sunday referred to it as "load of old tosh" in its review. The Guardian stated that "Polo" seemed destined to vanish rapidly from the submenus.

The criticism has also led to inquiries regarding the next project that the duo will be working on for Netflix. There has been speculation going around for about a year that Meghan is in the process of producing her very own show that will celebrate "the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship."

However, there is still no indication that the series would be released at any point in the future. The series was supposed to be a compliment to Meghan's lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. The front has also been noticeably quiet in terms of updates, with the exception of the launch of a few products, specifically jam and dog biscuits and other similar items.

However, some have suggested that the couple's success hinges on the release of the show. Another piece of information was sent to MailOnline by a Netflix insider, who stated that it is possible that Meghan's cooking show will never even begin production.

Subsequently to show's failure to impress, the source said, "There won't be another deal. There may be one offs but that's it."

One insider from California told Alison Boshoff of the Mail, "It's make or break. People say Netflix is exhausted. It's so much work with her and, bluntly, the 'deliverable' does not seem to be worth it." Another industry executive admitted, "Her show will have to be an enormous hit to turn around their deal and their reputations in this town."

In the year 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan inked a contract with Netflix that was expected to be worth $100 million (£80 million) over the course of five years. In the fall of the next year, it is scheduled to come to an end.

Whether or not the streaming giant will continue to collaborate with the couple is still unknown, particularly after the contract that the Sussexes had with Spotify, which was worth £15 million, expired at the beginning of June of the previous year. The executives in Hollywood have claimed that any fresh arrangement will not amount to anything even somewhat comparable to the $100 million that they were previously given. This is partly owing to the fact that the couple has not actually generated any further content.

In the event that Meghan's series is given the opportunity to air, it is quite probable that it will launch in the first quarter of the year, in conjunction with her brand. Due to the fact that it has not been featured in Netflix's plans for the month of January, it is possible that it will be released in late February, following Prince Harry's participation in the Invictus Games in Whistler, Canada, or in March.
