Prince William is reported to have severed all connections with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle due to their continual criticisms of the royal family.

According to an expert, he and Princess Kate will likely be interested in a forthcoming documentary centered on the Sussexes' life in Montecito. The Lost Prince, by acclaimed filmmaker Ulrike Grunewald, examines the couple's existence in California and their quest for significance following their abdication as working royals in January 2020.

In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, royal analyst Duncan Larcombe expressed his belief that William and Kate will be aware of the German documentary.

"I think there's a strong chance they would probably have someone watch it on their behalf, just so they can flag up anything that needs addressing. William is a bit better than Harry at ignoring what's said about him, but he still does take interest," he stated.

Larcombe additionally proposed that the show might influence Harry's efforts to mend relations with the royals. "It's hard to say if the documentary will impact Harry's relationship with the royals because there are signs that things might be thawing," Larcombe added.

He remarked that it had been long since Prince Harry and Meghan disclosed any significant revelations. Since the release of Prince Harry's book "Spare" in January, he has had a notable period of silence. Since that time, he has encountered his father, though only for a brief while. It would be unfortunate if the documentary diminished the prospects of a thaw in the relationship.

"I think any documentary that continues the criticism of Harry and Meghan's modus operandi is going to be damaging. It's in Germany so it's probably not going to make a big storm over in the US. But it's still a major blow for a couple who have seen their popularity plummet like a stone falling in a well since they left the UK," Larcombe went on.

"The Lost Prince" may be an unsettling experience for Prince Harry and Meghan. A primary concern is the couple's aspiration to be 'half in and half out' of the Royal family—a proposition rejected by the late Queen.

Jack Royston, from the podcast The Royal Report, emphasized the significant challenges this scenario would present, noting that if Prince Harry and Meghan are profiting substantially in Hollywood by leveraging their reputations while simultaneously enhancing their standing by serving the Queen, they can portray themselves globally as functioning members of the royal family who are also commercially available.

He stated that requesting a concession from the monarchy is a significant concession. If they are viewed as endorsing their commercial ventures while representing the Queen, it approaches corruption, as the monarchy should not be utilized as a platform.

Royston further asserted that Prince Harry and Meghan's exit from the Royal Family, launching severe criticisms of Prince Harry's relatives, substantially tarnished their reputation. This has significantly affected their ability to improve the world, as many individuals are not heeding their messages.

The pair faces criticism for the stark contrast between their 'noble' endeavors and their opulent lifestyle. Meghan faces criticism for wearing costly designer attire during prominent travels to underprivileged countries.

Russell Myers of The Mirror observed that visiting countries such as Nigeria and Colombia, which face significant socio-economic challenges and contain some of the world's most impoverished communities, while adorned in designer attire valued in the tens of thousands of pounds, conveys an inappropriate message.

Social media users have expressed polarized views over the purported rift between the royal siblings.

“William is right to cut ties. Harry and Meghan’s constant attacks are exhausting," a royal fan said. “The royal family needs to stop ostracizing them. It’s clear they’ve tried to mend things," another netizen stated.

“The Sussexes want all the perks with none of the responsibilities. Enough is enough," an X user commented. “Harry has every right to speak his truth. William just can’t handle it," a fourth source retorted.

“Their criticism has only hurt their credibility. William made the right choice," a netizen added. “It’s hard to take their ‘noble’ goals seriously when they flaunt wealth on charity trips," another X user shared.
