A deadly fall from the third-floor balcony of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel ultimately resulted in the death of the One Direction star on October 16. He was just 31 years old at the time of his death.

According to the circumstances surrounding his tragic death, five people have been charged with the crime, and two more are now being questioned in connection with the occurrence. TMZ has released a new video that dives into the circumstances surrounding Liam's murder and the individuals who were involved in it. The documentary was shown on Monday, December 16th.

A guy who saw Liam Payne's tragic fall is interviewed in the documentary titled "TMZ Investigates: Liam Payne: Who's to Blame?"

Bret Watson, a visitor at the hotel, shared his thoughts on the frightening event that continues to leave him rattled. Bret described how time "stopped or slowed down immediately" as he witnessed the popstar fall.

When the horrible tragedy took place, Bret was staying at the hotel in South America for his wedding. He was in a room on the first floor with his wedding coordinator.

"I was meeting our wedding planner. We had gone up to the room and happened to be looking out of the window of our hotel. We saw Liam fall," Bret recalled in the controversial new TMZ doc. "We immediately rushed out on the balcony to see what it was and when we looked down we could see it was Liam lying on the ground. He landed face up so we could tell right away it was him, and he was motionless."

Bret, who admitted he didn't have a medical background, expressed that it appeared the person passed away on impact. He described the moment as one in which time appeared to halt or decelerate. The experience of seeing someone fall in such a way was devastating, but hearing the impact on the ground was even more haunting than watching the fall itself.

He opened up about how the event and what followed are indelibly etched into his memory, saying they're "burned" into his brain and something he's "never going to forget."

Bret also communicated that he is struggling to come to terms with the aftermath of the occurrence, stating that he is "still working through and trying to process" the awful scenario.

According to Daily Express, Bret went on to describe how he and his wedding party had been studying the Teardrops musician throughout the day. During this time, they had witnessed Liam's conduct become increasingly erratic and his level of drunkenness escalating.

As he related his experience, he was present throughout Liam's final encounter with the personnel of the hotel, which consisted of them carrying him to his room from the lobby using his arms and legs.

Two of the five people who have been charged in connection with the event are employees of the hotel, and two more employees are now being questioned under special circumstances.
