Liam Payne's $40,000 Rolex is reportedly missing after an escort who was present in his hotel room before his death returned.
The sex worker claimed that she had neglected her makeup and was permitted to return to the third-floor room of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to retrieve it.
It is reported that Liam had promised the woman and another female escort $6,300, but they did not receive the complete amount at the hotel. According to the Argentinian news website Infobae, the two escorts subsequently informed prosecutors that 'gentleman' Liam had kneeled before them and declared, "I love you, I love you."
It is even claimed that he "promised them" his Rolex watch. However, Liam allegedly neglected to provide more money. The Mirror reports that Roger Nores, a former manager and acquaintance of the One Direction singer, subsequently arrived and attempted to "resolve the situation."
Liam's tragic end occurred forty minutes later when he plunged three stories from his hotel room balcony. Even though Liam was observed wearing the Rolex on the day of his death, the watch was not on his wrist when he collapsed and has not been seen once since.
An investigator involved in the investigation disclosed: "We know, from images that were analyzed, that Payne was wearing a Rolex on the day of his death. He was wearing it on one of his hands and he had it for at least two to three hours before he (died)."
Police carried out a thorough search of Liam's hotel room and the residences of numerous individuals who were known to be present with him on that day, including locations associated with two female escorts. However, the watch has not yet been located. Even though the women, whose identities have not been disclosed by the police, are presently being regarded as witnesses rather than suspects, they have reportedly retained legal counsel.
It has been reported that Liam purchased bottles of Moet and Chandon Champagne, Johnnie Walker Black Label Whisky, and $300 in cash in the hours preceding his passing. According to reports, prosecutors are currently investigating the potential that the funds were intended for a drug distributor.
According to reports, Liam behaved erratically and subsequently destroyed his laptop in the lobby before being escorted to his room. The hotel personnel allegedly made two emergency calls to report that a guest had consumed "too many drugs and alcohol" and was "trashing the entire room."
After a brief period, Liam tragically fell to his death. Prosecutors dismissed the notion of self-harm or suicide, asserting that he was "unconscious or semi-conscious" at the time of his fall.
They determined that the singer, who was under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time of his death, was either oblivious to his actions or unable to understand them.
He passed away as a result of internal and external bleeding caused by the fall, as well as multiple injuries, as revealed by a post-mortem examination. Three individuals, including a hotel employee, have been charged in connection with Liam's death on October 16.
Two individuals are being charged with drug supply offenses. At the same time, one is being accused of "abandonment of a person followed by death," which entails a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. Liam passed away privately in England last month, and there are demands for a permanent memorial in his hometown of Wolverhampton.
Fans and haters alike rushed to social media to vent their amazement and loss. “Still can’t believe Liam is gone. The Rolex situation just adds to the heartbreak. RIP," an X user said. “The missing Rolex is suspicious, but let’s not forget the bigger tragedy here—Liam’s life," another netizen stated.
“If anyone knows what happened to that watch, speak up! This whole thing feels off," a third source commented. “Why does it seem like people failed him? Liam deserved better from those around him," a fourth fan suggested.
“Between the escorts and missing money, this story is getting darker by the day," another netizen retorted. “A memorial in Wolverhampton is a must. Let’s honor the man, not the drama," a sixth source shared.
