According to a source who spoke exclusively to Page Six, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are still planning to maintain their "connected" relationship after their divorce.
"They have every intention of continuing to be in each other's lives despite not being romantically involved," the insider shared, four months after the "Hustlers" actress filed for divorce from the "Batman" star, per Page Six. "Ben and Jennifer are still connected and they do communicate when it involves their kids."
After having worked together on the set of "Gigli" in 2002, the former couple started dating for the first time. The first time they were engaged was in November of that year, but they broke off their engagement in January of the following year. After a number of years had passed, in the year 2021, the couple renewed their affection and became engaged for the second time.
Back in August, on the second anniversary of their wedding ceremony in Georgia, Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck.
Previously, the actor was married to Jennifer Garner from the year 2005 till the previous year, 2015. Violet, who is 18 years old, Seraphina, who is 15 years old, and Samuel, who is 12 years old, are their children collectively.
According to Daily Mail, although they have recently terminated their relationship, Affleck and Lopez continue to have a mutual regard for one another, which is not something that disappears overnight. This is something that will continue to exist between them.
"Obviously things haven't been the same, but they have a lot of history," a source said of the Oscar winner, 52, and the "Let's Get Loud" singer, 55.
They have already demonstrated that they are capable of maintaining their composure in public together. Affleck, Lopez, and Garner, who is 52 years old, all came together to show their support for their children at a school performance just the week before.
Emme, who is 16 years old and the kid of Lopez and Marc Anthony, was present at the school event that took place in Los Angeles last Friday. The three individuals arrived at the event and watched Seraphina sing.
Affleck and Lopez's "kids attend the same school so they're bound to spend time together," an insider said. "Ben and Jennifer remain amicable whenever they do see each other. They're still close with each other's children, and even though they don't have a co-parenting type of relationship, they still feel like a blended family in a lot of ways."
