It has been stated that Prince Harry will be flying to the United Kingdom on his own, without Meghan Markle, in order to participate in the continuing trial that he is now facing against the publishers of The Sun.
According to Hello!, the trial will take place in the High Court, both Prince Harry and Lord Tom Watson, who was formerly the deputy leader of the Labour Party, will appear before the court.
As part of their legal action against News Group Newspapers (NGN), Prince Harry and Lord Watson are suing the publication for allegedly violating their right to privacy and getting material in a manner that is against the law.
It is anticipated that the trial would last for a total of seven weeks, during which time Prince Harry will be subjected to cross-examination by the counsel representing the media firm.
The former working royal, who now resides in the United States, claimed in his statement that News Group Newspapers had targeted him with a number of unlawful information gathering measures, including hacking his phone conversations to obtain information on him.
Express reported that in his most recent speech, which was delivered at a gathering in New York City, Prince Harry brought up the ongoing legal dispute that has been going on. He went so far as to speak with those individuals who had reached a consensus with reference to their assertions.
Prince Harry made the following statement in reference to the 1,300 individuals who have made the decision to settle: "They've settled because they've had to settle. So therefore, one of the main reasons for seeing this through is accountability, because I'm the last person that can actually achieve that."
Prior to that, in the year 2023, Prince Harry made an appearance in front of the courtroom. During the midst of this presentation, the prince launched a lawsuit against the Mirror Group Newspapers, alleging that they had hacked into his phone device.
Following the conclusion of the decision-making process, Meghan Markle will not be going to the United Kingdom to be with her husband the following month. Her children, Prince Archie, who is five years old, and Princess Lilibet, who is three years old, will be staying in California instead.
Meghan, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have not been to the United Kingdom since 2022, in contrast to Prince Harry.
There have been claims that Meghan has "no desire" to return to the United Kingdom. This is not surprising given that Prince Harry has not been shy about exposing the dangers that his family faces in the United Kingdom while they are there.
Business Times has reached out to Prince Harry for comments.
