Actress Emily Osment has filed for divorce from her husband, Jack Anthony, after just five months of marriage. The Young Sheldon star cited "irreconcilable differences" in court documents submitted on March 7, just three days before her 33rd birthday.

Osment, best known for her role as Lilly Truscott on Hannah Montana, married Anthony, a former tech executive, in a private ceremony on October 12, 2024. However, according to the filing, the couple separated less than two months later, on December 7.

"I think with any big decision in your life, whether it's relationships or work or whatever it may be, you have to firmly plant both feet in that decision," Osment said in a statement to People. "Ultimately, it didn't work out."

The couple, who have no children together, had signed a prenuptial agreement in September 2024, which outlines the division of their assets. Osment's court filing requests to "terminate the court's ability to award support to the petitioner and respondent" based on the terms of that agreement.

Osment and Anthony first went public with their relationship in October 2021 when the actress posted photos of them attending a Phish concert. They later announced their engagement in June 2023 in a now-deleted Instagram post.

"This magical, beautiful, kaleidoscope of a person asked me to marry him this weekend," Osment wrote at the time, adding, "This love is so big and so uniquely ours and I know it can do anything. I am so honored to stand next to you every day."

In May 2024, Osment spoke to People about her excitement over wedding planning, saying she "cannot wait to be married." Days after their wedding, she appeared on CBS Mornings with Gayle King, confirming their nuptials but keeping details of the ceremony private. "It's great so far. These past four days have been glorious," she said at the time.

Despite previously sharing moments of their relationship online, Osment has since removed photos of Anthony from her Instagram profile following the divorce filing.

Anthony, who studied at the University of Virginia, previously worked as the head of strategic partnerships at Linktree before leaving the company in July 2024 to attend the Chef Apprentice School of the Arts. He has not publicly commented on the split.

Osment has built a successful acting career beyond her Disney roots. She starred in Young & Hungry before joining the Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon in 2022. She is set to appear in the upcoming CBS series Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, reprising her role as Mandy McAllister.
