Newly surfaced footage from Sean "Diddy" Combs' 2010 New Year's Eve party in Miami offers a glimpse into the artist's once-glamorous lifestyle, as he remains in federal custody on multiple charges related to alleged misconduct. The video, obtained by TMZ, captures the rapper at the height of his influence, surrounded by celebrities including DJ Khaled, Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Drake, and Busta Rhymes.
The party took place at a lavish Miami mansion on December 31, 2009, marking the beginning of a new decade. In the footage, Diddy can be seen addressing his guests through a P.A. system, offering shout-outs to his famous friends. Several of the artists present appear on camera, personally wishing him a happy new year.
A clip from the event shows Diddy chatting with a woman before dancing with a friend, while guests light sparklers as the clock strikes midnight. Despite the fanfare, the gathering appears relatively restrained compared to more notorious events linked to the rapper in later years.
Diddy, once known for his extravagant parties, is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Authorities allege that over the years, he organized events referred to as "freak-offs," which are now under investigation. He has denied all allegations, and his legal team has dismissed lawsuits against him as baseless.
Teny Geragos, one of Diddy's attorneys, addressed the allegations on the "2 Angry Men" podcast, stating that no evidence has surfaced linking the rapper or other celebrities to minors in any of the alleged incidents. She also criticized civil attorney Tony Buzbee, who is involved in multiple lawsuits against Diddy, calling him an "ambulance-chaser."
The resurfaced footage has reignited public interest in Diddy's past, but it does not appear to contain any incriminating material. TMZ has reached out to Diddy's legal representatives for comment on the 2010 video but has not received a response.
