NFL player Odell Beckham Jr. and comedian Druski have been named in a civil lawsuit alleging their involvement in a 2018 sexual assault incident linked to music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs. Both Beckham and Druski have denied the allegations, with Beckham calling them "ridiculous" and Druski labeling them a "fabricated lie."
The lawsuit, filed in California on Friday, accuses multiple defendants, including Diddy, Beckham, and Druski, of participating in an attack on plaintiff Ashley Parham. The suit claims Parham was drugged, kidnapped, and assaulted after allegedly making comments linking Diddy to the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur. Parham initially filed a lawsuit last year, and the recent filing amends the complaint to name additional individuals.
Beckham, 32, took to social media to respond to the allegations. "I have been informed of the allegations about me in a suit in [California]," he posted on X. "There is absolutely no truth to those allegations. I do not know and have never met the person that filed the suit. I was not anywhere near Orinda, CA at that time. In fact, I don't think I have ever even been to Orinda, CA. I have never done anything like that, and I would never do anything like that to anyone. I'm confident that these ridiculous claims against me will be dismissed."
Druski, 30, also issued a statement on social media, denying any involvement. "This allegation is a fabricated lie. I wasn't a public figure in 2018-I was broke living with my mom without any connections to the entertainment industry at the time of this allegation, so the inclusion of my name is truly outlandish," he wrote.
The lawsuit details an incident in which Parham was allegedly lured to an apartment in Orinda, California, under false pretenses by Shane Pearce, an associate of Diddy. According to the suit, Pearce, who was reportedly suffering from cancer, asked Parham for help with his medication. Once inside, she was allegedly assaulted by multiple individuals, including Diddy and others named in the lawsuit.
The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office confirmed last month that a report was filed on the date in question, but officials determined the claims were "unfounded." A spokesman for the department declined further comment.
Diddy's legal team dismissed the lawsuit, calling it an attempt to seek financial gain. In a statement to Variety, Combs' representatives said, "This new complaint-brought by an attorney who has already been sued for defaming Mr. Combs-demonstrates the depraved lengths plaintiffs will travel to garner headlines in pursuit of a payday. Mr. Combs was nowhere near Orinda, California on the day Ms. Parham claims she was assaulted there, and the Contra Costa Sheriff's Department has already confirmed Ms. Parham's claims were determined to be unfounded following a thorough investigation."
Diddy, 55, is already facing a separate federal case in New York on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. His trial is scheduled to begin on May 5. In January, Combs filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against several individuals, including attorney Ariel Mitchell, who is representing Parham in the California case.
