Jennifer Lopez is reportedly considering a bombshell interview in response to recent comments made by Ben Affleck about their marriage and divorce, sources close to the singer and actress say, reigniting interest in one of Hollywood's most closely watched breakups. The reports come just weeks after Affleck characterized the end of their relationship as "embarrassing" during a GQ magazine interview, a remark that insiders claim left Lopez "fuming."

Affleck, 52, spoke candidly about the dynamic between himself and Lopez, 55, pointing to differences in how they handle public attention. "There are a lot of people who I think have handled celebrity more adeptly and more adroitly than I have, Jennifer among them," Affleck said. "My temperament is to be a little bit more reserved and private than hers." He added, "The reason I don't want to share [details of their marriage and split] is that is just sort of embarrassing. It feels vulnerable."

Sources cited by RadarOnline.com said Lopez felt betrayed by Affleck's public remarks, particularly after what she viewed as an understanding to keep the details of their split private. "Jen is fuming over Ben's careless use of the word 'embarrassing' in reference to their divorce," the source said. "It's as if he's throwing a grenade into their already tense situation."

Lopez, according to the source, is contemplating a public interview of her own to "hold him accountable for all the nonsense he's put her through." The source added, "She's done being the quiet one. He's ignited a fire in her, and now she's seriously considering a tell-all interview."

Affleck's GQ remarks come on the heels of past controversies, including comments about feeling "trapped" during his first marriage to Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children. The Deep Water actor has since walked back some of those statements and recently praised Garner as "wonderful" and "great."

Lopez, for her part, has publicly maintained that she has "no regrets" about her marriage to Affleck, though she told Vogue in a past interview that the breakup "almost took me out for good."

Adding further intrigue to the unfolding narrative, Lopez has been filming a new romantic comedy titled Office Romance with British actor Brett Goldstein. Behind-the-scenes photos from the set have surfaced showing the two in close proximity, sparking social media speculation about the pair's chemistry.

A source told the Daily Mail, "After a very tough start to 2025, Jennifer can't wait to start a new project and it certainly helps that she will be working with a very handsome and smart star like Brett. He is like the younger, better, British version of Ben." The source added that Affleck is "plenty aware" of who Goldstein is and suggested the pairing "will irk him for sure."

Meanwhile, another source told Page Six that Lopez is "ready to put herself out there again" and is "definitely open to meeting someone new." While she is reportedly considering dating someone outside of the public eye, the buzz around her onscreen partnership with Goldstein continues to build.

Neither Lopez nor Affleck has issued formal public responses to the latest reports.
