Brooklyn Beckham publicly reaffirmed his devotion to wife Nicola Peltz amid renewed speculation of a rift with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. In an Instagram post on Saturday, Beckham, 26, shared a video of himself and Peltz riding a red motorcycle together, accompanied by Lana Del Rey's "National Anthem."
"My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you're the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby," he wrote in the caption. The post comes as multiple outlets report strained relations between the couple and the wider Beckham family.
Just hours after Brooklyn's post, his younger brother Cruz Beckham, 20, shared a contrasting message on his own Instagram Stories. Posting a family photo featuring David, Victoria, Romeo, 22, Harper, 13, and Brooklyn himself, Cruz wrote: "I love my family. I love you guys more than anything, mum & dad, you gave us life and cared for us no matter what."
Rumors of discord intensified earlier this month after Brooklyn and Peltz missed David's high-profile 50th birthday celebration. According to People, the couple was invited, but their absence was never explained. "They love and are always there for [Brooklyn]. They're just hurt and disappointed that he's now playing no part in family life," a source told the outlet.
An insider told Us Weekly that the couple's apparent detachment stems from "very deep tension rooted in control and different plans for Brooklyn's future." The source added that David and Victoria "haven't called, texted or messaged Brooklyn directly since the birthday party."
While the couple, who wed in 2022, appear publicly united, some believe the friction may also be influencing Brooklyn's perspective. "It seems this exposure to a healthy relationship has made Brooklyn question his own family and upbringing," a source told Us Weekly.
Additional signs of distance emerged when Brooklyn reportedly did not visit or notify his family while in London for work last weekend, according to Page Six. "David and Victoria didn't even know Brooklyn was in London," a source said. "It's becoming increasingly clear how strained things are behind the scenes."
Peltz has also come under scrutiny for omitting Victoria from a recent Mother's Day tribute, an omission that followed longstanding rumors of past conflict-allegedly sparked by disagreements over Peltz's wedding gown. Though the two women previously appeared to mend ties via joint photos on social media, the absence reignited speculation.
Despite family friction, those close to the couple describe their marriage as strong. "Nicola and Brooklyn are incredibly happy together, dedicated to building a marriage based on unconditional love, caring, support and family," a source said.
