Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce ignited a wave of marriage speculation over the weekend after a wedding planner shared a handwritten envelope addressed to "Taylor and Travis Kelce," prompting fans to question whether the couple may have secretly wed.
The personalized letter, shown in an Instagram Story by event planner Ellie Nottoli, was part of a guest list display for Chicago Bears star Cole Kmet's wedding to Emily Jarosz. The envelope's elegant calligraphy, reading "Taylor and Travis Kelce," accompanied a backdrop adorned with handwritten love notes created by the bride for her guests.
"We all know Taylor and Travis were at a different wedding in Tennessee," Nottoli said in the video, acknowledging that the high-profile couple did not attend Kmet's nuptials. Nonetheless, the addressed envelope immediately caught the attention of Swift's fans online, with one user posting, "TAYLOR AND TRAVIS KELCE?!????? EXCUSE ME."
Others were more skeptical, noting that referring to unmarried couples in joint titles for events is increasingly common. "This is very common for couples (married and unmarried) for weddings. It's the aesthetic," one commenter wrote. Another added, "Me and my bf do that too on gifts and stuff even though we aren't married."
Despite not attending the Chicago wedding, Swift and Kelce were seen at another celebration-Kelce's cousin Tanner Corum's wedding to Samantha Peck, held Friday in Knoxville, Tennessee. Social media photos from the event showed Swift in a strapless blue floral dress by Markarian, paired with brown leather heels and styled waves, while Kelce wore a casual short-sleeved shirt and slacks for the barnhouse ceremony.
The buzz around the couple's relationship intensified further as fans scrutinized Swift's appearance for signs of an engagement ring. One person commented, "You see that ring?!??" while another asked, "Is that a ring I see??"
Speculation around a potential proposal has been building for months. In May, a source told RadarOnline that "once he is done playing (football), the conversation will be front and center." The insider added, "Everyone is just waiting for Travis to ask her parents for her hand in marriage... Nothing seems to be imminent, but it will 100 percent happen."
Swift, 35, and Kelce, also 35, went public with their relationship in September 2023. Since then, they've been frequently seen attending each other's events and family functions. In November, during an appearance on Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, Kelce joked about the intelligence benefits of fatherhood, saying, "Man, that's all I had to do to become brilliant?"
