Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the Georgia Republican known for her combative political style and prominence within the conservative movement, announced her engagement to journalist Brian Glenn, setting in motion a rare convergence of personal life and professional recalibration inside Washington's political-media ecosystem.

The engagement was revealed Monday by Glenn, the chief White House correspondent for Real America's Voice, who posted a photograph of the couple dining at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab in Washington, D.C., just blocks from the White House. The image prominently displayed a large diamond ring on Greene's left hand. Glenn captioned the post, "She said 'yes'."

Greene, 51, quickly amplified the announcement on her own social media account, writing, "Happily ever after!!! I love you @brianglenntv!!!" The ring, according to people familiar with the proposal, was designed with Greene's input. The proposal itself appeared informal, taking place at the restaurant table as meals and cocktails sat untouched.

The announcement formalizes a relationship that has been publicly visible since early 2023, following the conclusion of both individuals' previous marriages. Greene's divorce from Perry Greene was finalized in December 2022 after 27 years of marriage. In court filings at the Georgia Superior Court of Floyd County, Perry Greene described the marriage as "irretrievably broken." At the time, Greene said she would "always be grateful for how great of a dad" he was to their three children, while Perry Greene called her his "best friend for the last 29 years."

Glenn's own marriage also ended in late 2022, clearing the way for the couple's public emergence shortly afterward. Since then, they have been frequent fixtures at conservative political events, rallies and media appearances, often aligning professionally as well as personally.

The engagement carries professional implications for Glenn, whose role as a White House correspondent requires daily presence in Washington. According to people familiar with the decision, Glenn plans to step away from that beat and relocate to Georgia to live with Greene. His network is expected to establish a studio near their home, marking a significant shift from the traditional press corps routine.

The move follows a period of heightened professional strain for Glenn amid Greene's recent public rift with President Donald Trump, an episode that created discomfort within pro-Trump media circles. The relocation reflects what associates describe as a desire for a "more stable life" outside Washington.

While Greene's public persona is defined by confrontation and ideological intensity, Glenn has consistently described a markedly different private image of his fiancée. Recalling their first in-person meeting at a Donald Trump rally in 2022, Glenn said, "She was, like, mystical - like a unicorn or something like that, you know?"

He has also described Greene as "sweet and sincere," adding that she has a "very gentle, almost angelic soul." The remarks, offered in past interviews, contrast sharply with Greene's reputation on Capitol Hill and underscore how the relationship has been framed by those closest to it.
